New bump stops. The stock ones were dry rotting, I broke them off with my hands. Seems I neglected these long enough because the track bar mount on the axle hit the frame. I extended them 1" so that even if the bump stop is compressed down all of it's steps i will still have about 1" before the track bar mount hits the frame.

The res on this shock makes it hard to make towers. Don't have the room for the tube style so I'm gonna have to get creative.

So I drew a shock.....then this design.

Then had some keystone and realized that was stupid

as for fixing the stink bug......the coil bucket mounting bolts go through the engine crossmember, so it'd be a bitch to redrill them. cutting coils off is kind of ghetto but I might do it.
The spring rate is too high and the front doesn't flex all the way anyways so I don't see cutting a coil reducing travel.
It might only be a small amount and might not even had been usable, but still a reduction. Aren't both ends of the spring bent to fit the buckets?
if spring rate is too high, cutting will only make it worse
Made a shock tower.

Looks short. I'm guessing the axle side mount is low on the tube?
44s
Did he go get them?
Is he gonna actually tell me that he backed out of the deal he made for my tires? Doubtful since he has not returned the one I loaned him for free over 6 months ago.
What a good guy.
Sorry, forgot to text you back. I'll bring you your tire whenever you need it.
Just take all of his valve stems at alto, I'm sure you'll feel better when he finds out his rims are pinching his brand new 44s
44's should be interesting to watch on this contraption, i see lots of breakage and not alot of fixing in the future for this rig
