Sounds like the RRDH group got into some trouble on Wet and Wild any news of this
Yes, that happened... Haha thursday when we got there it was basically just me, tommy, john brown, and corey in terms of people with rigs. So after we got settled we headed out and hit the last part of wet n wild. This turned into a long ordeal when tommy had his drag link bent while being drug up one of the ledges by jb. I escaped with some more damage to my nerf bars and scratches on the bottom of my pinch seams on the rockers. The next day after many more people arrived, the RRDH crew hit the first part of wet n wild which lasted a good four hours. I bent the lip on my rear 44 diff cover and was leaking gear oil and also took a nice chunk out of my hard top, flem did the usual and beat up kunta kinte and now needs a new winch, courtney had her battery fall out whilst going up the drop in to the last half of wet n wild because it wasn't strapped in, and chase ripped up the pads on the roll bars of his jeep. Good time... :gigem:
sounds like a good time
Headed home now. Didn't break a thing.:gigem:
broke 2 windows and punched a hole in the diff cover.
Cory I stole some gear oil from you before I left, thanks.
Wish I made it...
damnit, you mean I have jeep parts on my rover now?
Carnage report?
hah, well it looked new enough that I'll consider it as an oil change.
Robbie - front driveshaft too short, antiwrap bar, possible rear spring, ram mount ripped off
Cory - rear driveshaft, antiwrap bar, missing front locker
Lynda - PS pump seal or o-ring
Scott - I think the 22re locked up for good
Jason - something motor related
Casey - D44 front outer, pretzeled exhaust
BDR - tire
Tommy - everything
Karl - rear driveshaft, wiring related fuel issues
DavidO - something motor related, ran but barely, bus out of diesel at Tater Hill
Zach - leaking rear diff.
Kopecki - I don't thing Kopecki broke anything
Flem - windows, front diff
Chris - wheel studs.
Great trip. It was a solid 3 days of wheeling. I'll give a better description tomorrow. Sam should have alot of pictures.
Glad to hear you guys had a good time (and got plenty of wheeling in).
Sorry I had to cut run after only one day, two family Christmas parties that sucked ass called. My carnage=3 wheel studs left on my driver side front hub. The wheel ALMOST fell off. That was just stupid luck on my part. After limping it off the trail and getting the trailer to load it up it started raining and didnt quit that night. Sucked but **** happens.
This trip killed two 22RE's... Yep, pretty sure mine is toast, I'll pull the pan tonight - time for an upgrade!.
Lynda also debeaded a tire twice, locked up the air compressor, and bent a leaf spring. It was the pump seal that gave out due to a bad seal on the 'can' around the pump.
Robbie had front d-shaft problems with it pulling apart. He also had the studs pull out of the front D60 that hold the leaf spring on.
DavidoO also arrived with one broken shackle and a leaking tire. We fixed that before starting the trail on Saturday and he broke another shackle while out.
there seemed to be a lot of local girls hanging out around the campfire on Saturday night... I think we must've picked up at least five or so from the bar - I hope ya'll lost their numbers after the night:flipoff2:
ohh - Landon rolled over, crushed windshield, door, etc.. Someone else in Landons group broke a lockright in a Toyota.
Where are the forkin pictures???
here are mine!

Yes, she did.

Kopecki broke on green mamba extension last night. Snapped the solid section of his rear driveshaft clean in two, and then grenaded the upper front dhaft ujoint while shaggin ass up the logging road in front wheel drive.
Reporting from the road via DaveO motorcoach wifi.
Ill get my pictures put up in the next day or two

Zach and I planned on leaving Arlington around 2, but instead got on the road around noon. It was good to get a jump on any sort of traffic. We ended up passing Cory and Tommy just north of Dallas as they were pulling out of Whataburger. We stopped shortly thereafter at Love's, got some fuel and beer. I weighed the truck/trailer setup while we waited and it was 15280. I think the Bronco weighs alot more than I have always thought.
Checked in at the A&A and headed out to the trails to poke around with about 2 hrs of daylight left. We did the 2nd half of W&W and Tommy ended up getting stuck and I guess while tugging him out, he bent the draglink. ZAP I think made it through with only some scrapes on the nerf bars. Getting Tommy out was a pain in the ass, but we did eventually. We returned to the hotel and some more people had arrived.
On Friday, I thnk everyone hit up the end section of W&W that eventually leads to Green Mamba. Lynda broke the PS pump and Chris lost some wheel studs. Cory, Robbie, Jason's buddy KC, and myself continued on Green Mamba. Robbie's front shaft pulled out for the first time here, but we got it put back together pretty quickly. We followed Busa, Scott, and, Kopecki all the way up. There is plenty of logging going on around that side of the mountain now. On the exit trail, KC snapped a D44 shaft and while we fixed it, the loggers were cutting trees and hauling them out right next to us. We headed back to the motel, where it started to rain, so we huddled under the awning and drank beer and watched Tommy attempt to fix a drag link.
We went to SHorty's Tater Hill Tavern later that night and consumed beverages. I did another pretty sweet donut in the parking lot, but made sure I was much farther away this time.:D Come to find out that Jason and KC stayed up there a little longer and found some new friends.:flipoff2:Text received at 4:20am....."Yall are missin out ***, we found girls":flipoff2:
Saturday started off with another great breakfast at the Bulldog. Cory, me and KC in his Sammi buggys headed out and hit up the first trail off the strip. The rain had made things just slippery enough to make it fun. It was all dry by mid day though. We ran Van Alstyne and eventually ran into some sort of old logging truck blocking the trail. It was a crewcab, on a shortened maybe frame. Some large man wearing a "HUMMER" shirt was working on it. He was a little creepy, but we stuck around till he got it running:D. Ended up turning around and running some other trails before returning to camp. Another night at Tater Hill, but this time we traveled like rockstars in AC/DCs old bus. Listened to "One-eyed Jack" band and was mesmerized by a lady in a red shirt with robotic hips.
Time to go, so we pile back on the bus, but it won't start. Karl's truck to the rescue. Nix and Austin brought back some locals, but I am not positive on how that ended up.
WTWE was a success, though it has taken a largely pornagraphic turn.
ED, som guy was very disappointed that you were not there. He called himself Srgt Nail and he stopped by looking for you on Friday afternoon.
It was a blast. Good to wheel with Cory in a non POS now. Needs a locker, winch, and maybe some tires, and that Jeep is ready to go. Robbie's Jeep worked much better than in past trips. You can tell it is pretty close to being dialed in. A longer front shaft and a beefier ram mount are on his list for sure. It was great to see Austin and Nix again too.
On Sunday, Austin, Cory, Robbie, and I headed out and did 8 pt and Redneck Millionaire. I made it through with the help of my Hi-lift and winch. Robbie's driveshaft pulled out maybe 6 times but he swears he did the same trail on Saturday with no problems:flipoff2:. Pulled him up. Cory took the bypass but ended up breaking his rear shaft again. Austin walked up most of it I think. Got back to the hotle and headed out. Seemed like it took forever to get home.
The Bronco did great. I am such a firm believer in Iroks. Got some new scrapes and scratches. I would like to find a locking transmission dipstick, as at extreme angles, it will pour out. After 3 runs on the ram mounted to diff cover, it looks to be leaking a little, so just need to reseal that, but overall its ready for KRocks in Feb.
