No, he did this at his workplace, probably during work hours. He said he just took his work ethics exam so he's not really supposed to do anymore 'favors' :( This was the only set he made for us. Good thing they fit, they look good on the Jeep!Quote:

No work tonight - I'm in Natchitoches LA...
My wife loves that town...Quote:

at Jasper tonight, dealing with a broken 3" compressor rod and the crosshead sitting on the engine room floor...
Cool carnage pics
Damn!!!
just jb weld it. that **** will buff out
so it looks to be built kinda like a steam locomotive...how is that thing oiled on the carriage slide thingy? drip? or is it splashed up from the crank case or maybe even pressure fed? so the piston is connected the slider which is in turn connected the rod and down to the crank. Is this design to control side loads or to help produce more low end torque (w/ the huge length of the connecting rod)....looks like fun...better than a desk job
force feed lubrication - that's what those 1/4" lines are forQuote:

I don't like the mom stuff...makes me feel old. If I was 5'6", blonde, and hardbodied...then I might consider Milf.
rck grl
I was busy with parents and such this weekend so I didn't get much done. Here are a few more pics or random stuff. Got the air reg mounted, the overflow mounted, and upper rear shock mounts done. I also have mounted teh center consol and figured out the t-case shifters.
a new overall pic
just curious to compare heights. whats the distance here? from top of spring plate to bottom of frame? straight up.
I'll be out of town tonight - in Jasper again. I'll let you know tomorrow night
9" from the center of the plate, 8.5 from the center of the axle (1" foward)Quote:

I may be coming down this week. What's your schedule like?
I'll be doing something with the hole in the floor - not sure exactly what yet. I will be in Houston the rest of the week.

What's the story on that back seat?
what do you mean - that's the baby seat. We'll be strappin the car carrier to that thing...Quote:

You never put the baby seat in the front seat! We also don't want a full seat in the back becuase we have two dogs we have to fit back there as well, along with an ice chest.
Okay, I'm getting the "Keep Texas Wild" license plate with the Horny Toad. Specialty plates can only have 5 characters so I looked the availability for the following two choices:
Go N Up - Taken
CRWLR - Available
So basically, can anyone think of anything better than CRWLR? Otherwise, I think this may be my top pick.
Oh yeah, and I'm thinking Ernesto might my fav name for the new Jeep.
Is Scott installing airbags? If not I bet he'll be fine. Thought of a cool license plate, but it's probably already taken:
HYBRID
When some greenie trys to inform you that it's not, tell them It's a hybrid between a jeep and a 1 ton chevy.
Maybe HYBRD ?
