he told me that two years ago right before he left CS. Actually he "apologized for any wrongs he had done to me" because he was "about to start a program" :rolleyes:Quote:

since he was MIA on Sunday, I hooked up to the trailer and towed Laura home... He caught up to us in Atoka while we were eating lunch

Who said they thought Austin had changed his ways? :DQuote:

Off that topic:
Cody and I witnessed a crazy high speed chase on I-45.
Crotch rocket zipped past me going VERY fast. I look in the rearview and see flashing lights. Watch bike exit, cop follows him through an intersection, gets close, then the bike gets back on the freeway and takes off.
I lose them in the distance.
Meanwhile, Cody is about 3 miles ahead of me. I call him and tell him to look for a bike coming up fast. A few minutes later, he passes Cody without any cops behind. Cody saw him exit and cruise on the side street.
A cop saw him on the side street and the chase was on again back on the highway.
They passed Cody again and a few minutes later he comes across a bike and a guy in the ditch. The cops were there too. The guy wasn't moving...
Me and BDR met some "trikefolk" at a gas station while waiting for everyone else. Don't worry we got some pics!
Krebs ate 2 gas station corn dogs and then finished off a box of of tabasco cheezits, I wonder how that turned out for him. :D
I also saw a medium to large size dog get smoked by a car right in front of me going the other way in Oklahoma. Ask BDR if I wasn't shocked by it. I thought I might have to pull over for a sec. Fido got owned, bad.
In one of the small towns there was a minivan in front of me, in the left lane, then cut off a diesel rig pretty good when moving to the right lane, but next thing I knew, the diesel rig had locked up it's brakes, almost rearended the minivan as it buried it's brakes, and I looked ahead and missed hitting a dog as I was darting into the suicide lane to avoid the diesel rig/minivan disaster. He made it to the middle.....I didn't see him after that. It was probably the same dog.
yeah i saw that semi lock up its trailer brakes and then the dog run into the median.Quote:

The roads were practically deserted and even with a sit-down meal and a pokey gas-saving speed, we made it back in about 6hrs to CS.
Yea, who was spotting for you?Quote:

Awesome trip!!
Me and John didn't know what the hell was going on next door sat night, just kept hearing bang-bang-bang....it was shaking our entire room. Figures it was just a Bear trying to get in the house :D
Thanks to Jimmy, Matt, and whoever else kept buying all the beer at Shorty's.
Thanks to Coop for the excitement of hanging on for my life when the wheel came flying off in a spectacular display of sparks and fire. Ok it wasn't that bad :flipoff2:
I had a great time hanging out with everyone. Everything on this trip was fun. Now I better get to work on the FJ for next year. :p
No Problem :flipoff2:Quote:

Yeah, we had the brakes and lines swapped over from the old axle, the new perches welded on, and welds spray painted black before krebs arrived. We ate dinner while the paint dried and threw it under there. Wasn't too bad at all.
I think he should come clean, his dad's going to find out anyway. Then may God have mercy on his soul!!! :)
I just wish his brothers were there for the whole ordeal. Fred (or I or you) would've killed someone, it would've been awesome :gigem:Quote:

Nothing bad happened chris, just toasted the bearings which fubared the spindle. It's just better that my dad doesn't know so he doesn't worry. He worries about enough already.
I'm sure Marc will know now anyways since this is on a public forum!
Got any pics of the spindle. I am just interested to see how bad it was messed up. Some places you can just buy the spindle and weld it on your axle.Quote:

The axle was cheap enough to make it worth not worrying about getting it on straight, etc...
Edit: This is doug... Guess Jerry left himself logged in :flipoff2: I was wondering how I had already voted on jerry's life decisions poll.
also took out the ball joint or at least pissed it off

awesome pics. glad it was an easy fix. :gigem:
I guess that needs to be sent up to Rudy'S BBQ? Nice carnage. I can't believe it cracked that far and didn't snap..that's impressive!
easy? I have't ever considered replacing the mainshaft in a t-case to be easy... I got it back in the truck last night though.Quote:

You gonna try to do something different with the flanges this time to make the removal easier for later, or is it something that cant be helped?
I didn't take the time before to put the flanges in when I added the 4-link support. I know I was going to have to cut when it came time to pull the tranny or t-case. I'll just have to make the time now.
I am tempted to just weld it in again and cut it off next time if I have to ;)
