I don't see 4 link being that much more expensive.
He's got to build a track bar for either suspension.
He's already got two rod ends on the radius arms
The axle end has bushings no rod ends there.
So at most he has to buy 2 additional rod ends and tube adapters.

and don't cut anything off of the axle so when you scrap the bronco I can buy it and use it for my Dirtymax SAS

Who needs a solid axle to pull a trailer? Why would someone sacrifice drivability and ride comfort in a 3/4 ton truck just to say they have a solid axle?
Alot of 3/4ton and 1 ton trucks do not have the plush life of back and forth to work on the highway and pulling a trailer 5 times a year like yours does. Alot of them are used in more adverse everday working type conditions and in this aspect, one could argue that a solid front axle is more 'heavy 'duty, than an IFS setup.

I don't think lack of flex is the vehicles limiting factor. Radius/leaf will lower the scrap yard odds too.
How much longer do you have at A&M? How long are you going to be staying at your current place (ie. how long can the bronco be torn down and re-assembled correctly)? The reason I ask is that projects almost always take an a$$ load longer then expected and there is nothing worse then having to move or rush a project before it's correctly finished. Seems like a cool end product if you go ahead with the 4 links BUT how long is it reasonably doing to take you. I say add 3-4 months to whatever timeline you formulate just because of lack of motivation (for anyone in the middle of any project) and hold ups with potential problems and material shortages. Also, what trails have you wanted to do that you would think would only be possible with the proposed suspension? Clarke's old bronco, JB's bronc, Dave's FJ, Brian's K-20 have all bashed there way up every trail I have seen them point their rigs at and all with leafs (if i'm not mistaken). Just my two cents. Think long and hard before dumping time and money into an aborted project.

The parallel 4-link has crappy ground clearance and cost a **** load, also no need for coilovers, get a set of deaver coils and bilstien shocks and you will be amazed. As for the rear 4-link, I think and you know as well you are getting way in over your head, just do a 2.5in chevy leaf spring swap that you can build your own pack and it will flex more then you can imagine, just add a traction bar. I'm going to make radius arms from 2x4 rectangular tube. The reason I am doing this is because 2" 3/4 wall dom is almost $10/foot. If I double up the tubes like the aftermarket arms do, it would be over $60 per arm before heims. The Dom arms may look better but bending the tube would be really hard and I would probably **** up at least $60 worth of tube before finishing them. Building the Rectangular tube arms would be simple compared to the tube. I think the Rectangular tube will take more abuse than the dom arms too.
As far as springs go, i'm going to order the 4" superflex coils from jbg and use one of my existing shocks per side until i can afford some 5100's.
For the rear, I'm going to do a shackle flip and take a couple leafs out of my superlift pack and use my existing shocks.
I found a rear axle for it. Funny story actually, I called the guy and he said he sold the front to another guy a couple weeks ago. Turns out he sold my front axle to the guy who I bought it from for $50 more than I bought it for. He wants $200 for the rear. At first I though it was too high, but after calling around, $200 was half the price of everyone else.
How much do you think the rectangular tube is going to cost?
Quite a bit but there's no bending heavy wall DOM involved.
Yeah, just cutting stuff at exact angles and then welding it back together at the angle you want....
I know, but that's tumtums problem. I would assume that making a template to use with the plasma wouldn't be terribly difficult.

What the **** is your budget?
Your wanting to go back to radius arms to save 6 feet of material and 2 heim joints? what is that, about a $100 savings? How are you planning on putting the heims on the box tubing?

These arms require no bending, just a big ass notch. I'm sick of arguing what i'm doing, i'm going to do this. The guy who built them beats the **** out of his truck and they haven't bent.
If I did a parallel 4 link I would definately need 2" 3/4 wall dom, but since they're doubled up on the radius arms i'm not sure I will. Maybe 1.75 .120 wall.
I don't know what my budget is. I only get paid 7.35 ****ing dollars and hour and getting 7-12 a week, so you can ****ing imagine what my budget is. I'll have whatever I get for the 44 - $200 for the rear. So not much.

To do leaves on this axle would be more work than radius arms. If I had just built them instead of changing my mind 30 times they would already be done.
To do leaves I would have to grind off the r/a mounts (which is alot of grinding), weld on spring perches, buy leaves, weld on shackle brackets and change the shock tabs.
Doing the radius arms involves, building the arms and bolting them to the existing brackets. Coil buckets need to be worked but it's not going to be any less work than leaves.
I have a set of leaves that I set up the bronco up with that I will let go pretty cheap. And if you want I could easily get you a job at heb making $10+
