Coop where you at? I need to go home and poo!!!
yes to raft trip.
do i need to pack my tent and take it to krebs house tonight?
Unless you wanna fly with it!
Anybody else for rafting? I'm thinking we need at least a quorum to start making raft trip plans.
how much is it?
looks like around $70/person for half day trips
considering I have never done it and would like to at some point in my life, im in!
jerry and doug just picked up my blazer, this trip is going to be a good one
and thanks scott and lynda for letting us use your trailer, i owe you both at least a
whole-lee-fuk....
we are almost 100% loaded and ready to go. time to take a cat nap and then hit the road.
Sharpe, bring me a case of NOS, i am going to need it. :gigem:
let me know how that speed brake works. on another note, the tow tune on your efi live may still be calibrated for your 19.5s if you download it onto creighton's dmax
****in winners!! About to go to bed. J is going to have to sit in the middle of Jerry and I and down hill ski!
We were at the HEB parking lot packing for an hour and a half...
sweet! There a set of tires on that rig for me? Doug thanks for dropping by and picking up that bike...I assume it's on the train as well?
Who else is flying and might want to raft? Our other options are heading over to coop's uncle's place to hang out (yes/no coop?), fish, we could probably find a place to tube in the Arkansas but that would be cold as crap, pan for gold, haul ass to denver and grill meat and drink beer in my backyard...lemme know what you guys want to do
the tires are loaded up on the trailer with my blazer and coops jeep, there was a bike on the trailer, but im not sure whos it was
also keep an eye out for my driveshaft eric, it should be at your house thursday
that was my bike up on the gooseneck.
the flight back on sunday is at 7:45 so we have time any of that sounds fun.
if you think tubing will be cold as crap... what makes rafting any different? it might bring the suck.
we will figure something out.
Sweet brian thanks. Will keep an eye out for the driveshaft.
You stay out of the water most of the time rafting. Feet might be in the water and cold, but generally you get pretty hot...but when you get a big splash or take a swim it will knock the breath right out of you!
Eric, got the check yesterday
sweetness. Cash it quick before I check my balance and buy a round for the entire town of Buena Vista :D
Why's there a donkey in the culvert?
hehe...
So we are on 287 near Childress. Making decent time despite a slightly late start this AM. The adventure started for Sharpe and I thismorning. The GPS in the M3 thought it would be cute to send us to Ed's place by way of a backroad that had the bridge washed out 30 years ago (according to grandma Buster).
were the street signs broken?
maybe thats why Ed posted directions :flipoff2:
just giving you ****, i travel like every other week. i know better than to trust a GPS in a car.

Most of us are enjoying a bud light, unless your chris scotti...:flipoff2:
looks like I am stuck here in BCS till friday, probably not going to make it.
nah, just didn't feel like drinking tonight...I know there will be plenty of opportunity for that over the next few days when I have had a bit more sleep...
Oh, and as for directions - Ed was supposed to email them to Sharpe, and he had been there before so I thought we were good to go...
Anyone have an extra sleeping bag? I have dick for camping gear these days. The scamper and hotel rooms have made me soft. :)
your gps must suck, ed told me the road he was on and my garmin took me straight to it! :)
Well I made it in about midnight last night, after 2 side trips
ed's trailer is fuking heavy, but cheby pulls it great, fuel mileage 7.8 doing 70ish
just got the title transferred over to my name... i have only owned it like 8 years!
hey jerry if you remember will you fill the jeep up with super when you guys make a pit stop?
the last time i filled it up was before trees. the key is on the key chain
Ed- are you still going to stop and buy some lunch stuff? if so i have a couple things i would like, nothing big. if not i will find to grab it when i get to CO
food is taken care of by doug and jerry. they just said we need to fend for our selves on lunch.
creighton picked up a big roast beef from my mom for sandwiches and i think some other lunch meat. so if we have some bread cheese, mustard and some chips we should be good on lunch for some of us. dont know if its enough for ~20 people for a couple days though.
are we driving the vehicles from the campsite to the trails? looks like carnage is about ~8 miles from the camp site.... that should be a fun drive.
