Damn you. I have a house closer to Toyota... Oh well. How much are you paying if you don't mind? I'm trying to get an idea of what the CoL is for apartments in San Antonio. You're staying in a nice area...Quote:

The biggest thing that sucks about staying "on campus" is that they don't have any running water. It would be much nicer if they just had that and some decent potties for the women. That being said, I'm still planning on bringing the Scamper. I'm just going to be sure I don't park next to the Grubb Taj and Vincent Generator this time. I don't think I've ever been there when it was cold.
Notes: -the outsides of the porta-pissers are used more than the insides
-if you stay at the hotel in town, your jeep will probably be either winched up a tree, flipped on its side, violated by another jeep, or a combination of all of the above
-when we say throw a tent down anywhere, thats prety literal
-there is a windmill there that will eat your children
I've never seen it do it, only threaten to...Quote:

However, I'll be living with three other guys (being the cheap guy that I am), so I'll pay less than $150 + utilities (washer and dryer included in apt.). I can also get a garage for $50 a month at my apt. complex, but I don't think my XJ will fit. However, I may get one to store tools etc. anyway.Quote:

Im in if creighton goes or could catch a rid out of cs?
I am tentatively (sp?) in. Alot could change before then though. Its a pay at the gate situation, so I won't make concrete plans until I see this semesters school schedule and see if I get the buggy back into one piece by then.
I still have to finish up my new PS reservoir setup, possibly swap in the new front axle housing I've been building, and repair the giant hole where a chunk of my roll cage used to be
Im free on weekends Chris. If ya need help, i got my tools and all i require is a patch to crash on my sleeping bag.
I'm going regardless. I've been planning on this one, had my calender marked, and been saving some cash to make the haul. It's ON!
I may take you up on that. I'll let you know if I need the help.Quote:

i might try to make this trip with the jeep and yota. as long as i have the steering and shafts done by then.
need someone to drive one for you?
The blazer told me last night it would like to go and have a second chance at life, but it has no way to get there. It asked the F150, but the F150 shed a tear, and proclaimed, "Your fat ass was almost the death of me last time!"
i might let my dad drive one
Doug, find a gooseneck and diesel money and we're good to go. I'll have to forego the Scamper option though.
OH THE HORROR!!! You couldnt use the flatbed he used for Clayton?Quote:

I see. Thats alot of weight for a SRW truck. Just hook the scamper up to the back of the gooseneck.
the scamper is a slide in, might drag a little behind the gooseneck.
OOOO. Dammit I suck at this.
Me and Kurt will be there. With 2 jeeps this time.
sweet, i might be able to make it but I am not sure
I'm in if my damn axles would show up
I'll be in SA for the lady's birthday but maby i can convince her to skip the rodeo and go to katemcy... i mean i dont have a ticket to the rodeo and have to sit at the house that night
Howdy all,
I am the FNG. I will be pullin to Katemcy with our rig for the Kickoff. I am headed out of camp to the Baghdad airport tonight, so I maybe offline for a day or so. I will have a seat or two if anyone needs a ride, I will be stoping in aggieland to pick up my cousin, then headin down friday afternoon (plan on stopin at hooters in RoundRock on the way). I hope to have a good trip, an look forward to some good wheelin with you guys (and girls).

Ed, Do you know Grayson? You guys are about the same Corps vintage! Welcome aboard FNG, congrats on getting to go home, and thanks. :usa:
a big THANKS from me as well!!! looking forward to meeting you! Katemcy ROCKS!... or so ive heard.
Any open seats? Creighton isn't going and I want to check out Katemcy. I can meet them in CS and pitch in as much as i can. I have tools and a cordless impact.
I'm out since I'm still missing a part of m cage and the bender is out of commision
once you get there you can usually hitch a ride to the trails, and I think it is more fun to walk if I'm not driving anyway. It's more standing around watching than it is walking anyway.
the trails are so far apart and the terain has so many rock ledges It takes a while on foot the get around between the obstacles. Flem and doug and I walked last time and it sucked , flem even had a sandle blowout while desending a rock face and nearly fell into a huge crack.
