my buddy up here has one that he wants to sell. it runs has new tires and rims and a lot of new body panels ready to go on. I don't think he wants much for it. like around $2k, maybe less.
get me some pics... I really could care less about anything but the body and frame.Quote:

Saw that and pretty much every other one on local/texas forums.
Keep in mind I already have the entire drivetrain that I want to use. I'm really looking for a good body to start with. I'd rather pay more for a good body to start from than have it running. I'd actually prefer it not running as it would probably be cheaper.
I actually like the Jimmy's better, as I think the grille looks bad ass.
what's your hangup on blazers (and jimmys)?
why not try and find something interesting to put your parts in, like a willys wagon or a waggy with a kaiser grille (does such a thing exist?)
probably wouldn't be much work than swapping everything from blazer-blazer
and what's wrong with your frame? Don't you have enough stuff welded to it at this point that you would want to keep it?
I think the 69-72 blazers just look kick ass and are completly convertible. Maybe I choose a blazer when I first bought a car because I liked them, make sense?Quote:

I have been trying to convince him to get a pickup of that generation because A) they are easier to find, B) they are more usefull and C) they are usually cheaper.
I think it's a kickass idea. That year model of blazer/jimmy is unique and would be awesome to have as a daily driver.
yeah but you were a dumb hikeschooler then and thought they were the baddest-ass offroad vehicle evar too, didn't you?Quote:

kaiser wagoneers have crappy drivetrains.Quote:

oh, well good. and to answer your question- wagoneers were made during kaiser's ownership.
cool, now stop before I start to become knowledgeable on anything jeep-related. I just like those grilles and know they can be swapped onto some later waggys and j-trucks

Waggy with the kaiser grille? Or am I just retarded?
All I see is an X. And the grill ya'll are talking about is the "Gladiator".
yes waggy with kaiser grille looks cool.
Now what in Gods holy name are you blathering about? :D
edit: ah you tried to post a picture...now I get it. but still no picture ;)
edit2: yeah that grille
Look now, should be working. Damn gay kodak site.
The truck was called the Gladiator, the grille is called the Rhino.
Edit: Yeah you can swap that grille onto any FSJ because AMC/Kaiser/Jeep were cheap bastards and just bolted the new grilles onto the old sheetmetal. Even put square headlights into round holes.
Pic works now. My bad, I thought that was the name.
wanna take bets on what happens when Doug logs back on and finds out that he's building a jeep?
i bet he loves it and goes and makes love to something inanimate
Or robbie.Quote:

I was a dumb college kid when I bought the blazer... 2nd semester soph. year. Before that, I drove a tempo and a Safari :flipoff2:Quote:

I've always wanted one of these since I learned they exist.
I plan to buy a new pickup when I graduate, and this will become a toy.

yeah... that blazer is way too far gone to even think about starting on. It would be good for a parts truck...
Have you seen my bronco :)Quote:

not to piss on your parade, but I have a feeling that is par for what you're going to find in that year range in that price range. :(
