What time are we meeting and heading out there?
havent heard from steve yet. i assume around 10 or so at mc donalds like always
is it cool if we bring a friend? He might be interested in joining the club.
I'll be in town, so I guess I plan on making the trip as well. Anyone have a spot to ride along? Don't really need to **** up my truck before I drive back to Dallas
no, no friends allowed!Quote:

What time are we going out there?
we need to be at the gates at 10:00 AM. thats when i told steve we'd be there. and we need to go as a group. NO STRAGGLERS so we can avoid any and all bullshat.
we are on. steve has confirmed and knows we are coming. so everything should be in order. we should meet at the mcdonalds on university or somewhere of the like at 9:30am so we can be there at 10.
I wonder what the conditions are like out there? Think its dried out much yet?
Is everybody still going?
kopecki and i will be there
aye, ill still be there
i going for a bit with cardoc crew
I will be there.
me too
ill go with robbie
im going. got the lift finished at the last moment
I'll be waiting at the gate at 10, not gonna drive into town just to meet.
alright good, im leaving now
It was badass!
Awesome time. It was a pretty big turnout and everybody wheeled the piss out of their rigs. Apparently you can still be a badass while wheeling a Land Rover, because Steven took his through some tough trails and beat the hell out of it.
I didn't break anything and my Rolls Royce pump was kickin' ass. :gigem:
it was an awesome trip, much better than the first one. Thanks to all those who pulled me up some hills, one day i'll get a locker and some decent tires but for now i do what i can. Got a nice dent on the front quarter panel (makes it look mean). and ripped some stupid plastic thing off the back bumper... hopefully it wont be too hard to put back on. Cant wait for next weekend.
Oh and i think it kinda screwed up my alignment or balance of the tires cause when i go 50+mph it starts to wobble a bit. I know the jeep (green one with the "h2 recovery vehicle sticker") was having some serious problems with that too.
Check for mud inside your wheels.
ah thats true, there was a lot of mud caked onto the rim, i didnt even think about how that could throw the balance off.Quote:

i didnt, left my camera at home, sorry man, but thanks for letting me ride along. Thanks to tommy too.
No problem, anytime. I thought you had your camera and were taking pic's of our group?Quote:

Hell Yeah David!! Did it have anything to do with your steering like you had been talking about?
Nope. Thank god. I actually avoided that drop yesterday just because I didn't want to tempt fate. This was a much softer landing.
I was heading down into the creek. It was the other place that I almost rolled two weeks ago. There was a log across the creek and this week I tried to hug up closer to it. Last time, I started to roll but the cage just slid down the log and the rear came back down. This time, the log broke and over I went. Doh! It was slow though, I just hung there from my lap belt trying to keep a finger over the leaking breather holes. I guess I need to put lines on those if I'm going to continue to be stupid.
I definitely need to figure something out on my steering though. It's really slow. I may have all but killed my pump. I'm not sure what the problem is, but it sure needs more flow.
I would appreciate it if anyone that has pics or video of it email them to me directly at davido at highlift.com. Thanks guys for the quick work on the recovery effort.
yea, but i have to get it from erin first, its on her camera, ill let you know when i get it. It should be small enough to send through email.Quote:

The evening ended by me tracking down my gf's overly inebriated ass in a random chicks house after he ran from me cause he thought I was a cop.Quote:
