yea my bad about not having pics, my camera is broke. Got most everything done this weekend but still not enough to get it up here, next weekend should be enough time to finish it up completely (crosses fingers)
Things left to do:
fix a/c
intall steering stabilizer (need to make new mounts for it too)
replace both rear u-joints
i can do all the a/c work,, im certified by the mobile air conditionings society, so if anybody needs a card to buy R12, let me know
im pretty sure its just a bad expansion valve, if that doesnt work then ill let you take a look at it
or just let me know cause I have a bottle of R12 and guages at the house.Quote:

looks good. when are you going to SOA it?
not sure, i would like to get lockers, gears, alloy shafts, and some other stuff before i do that, but we'll see... these springs are soo damn stiff right now, hopefully they break in good, if not then soa might not be too far down the road.
Lookin good
Looks good, I'd keep your stock springs around.
can i buy a pair of you stock springs?, 20 bucks?
nah im gonna keep em for now
that thing's way cleaner than I thought...I like!
now get rid of that grill and stick on the kaiser front end.

he has 6 inch lift springs in the front and rear i dont think he will be needing a trac bar, and by trac bar i assume you mean anti-wrap bar. Since he said that it doesnt flex that great with the lift springs to begin with.
no anti-wrap bar until i do the shackle flip, and even then it may not need it. Right now with the small amount of flex it gets i definitely dont need one, but thanks.
got the new tires today! it definitely makes a big difference. One problem is that they hit the springs when its turned all the way to the left. I think the pitman arm was off a bit when we put it on causing it to turn further left than right, so ill have to adjust that tomorrow and see if it fixes it. If not, i guess ill have to get some spacers. Also put 2 recovery points on the front and one on the back today. Ill get some pics soon and post em up.
Every pitman arm I've seen has some kind of indexing spline(s) on it so you physically cant mount it incorrectly. I hammered a pitman arm on one time cause I didnt know any better and it was one spline off. When I was driving home it sheered all the splines off and the only thing keeping my steering functional was a grade 8 bolt that got the **** gouged out of it.
Proper forum etiquette requires that you post pictures with a post like this.Quote:

I know the pitman arm can only go on a certain way due to the splines, somehow the box got turned 1/4 way to the left which still allowed the pitman arm to be put on, it was just off by a quarter turn... not sure how the hell that happened but its fixed now

I think i finally got the steering adjusted right and the springs are wearing in slightly... its still rough as hell but its better. Oh, and the new electric fan (taurus) is coming in soon

have you thought about moving the rear axle back any? it looks like it would make for less trimming if you could move the axle back an inch or so....or does it even hit the edge? Looks kinda close.
its closer than the pic looks, i dont think it will hit
CLOSER than the picture? wow. How much do you think the wheel travels backwards on compression?
ok i worded that wrong... the pic makes it look closer than it is
looks really good steven.
ah, that makes more sense. :gigem: As long as it clears, wheel the poop out of it!Quote:
