me and flem replaced the pump and jumped the relay, the fuel pressure was still too low so we then unplugged the reg., she ran fine for like 5 min then acted like it was going to die whenever i touched the gasQuote:

normal when the regulator goes bad on these motors the fuel pressure goes way up, they are the diaphram/vacuum controlled type, and the damn thing is brand new

I'm not sure if you have the same engine/efi as my 95 Ford, but the acting like it's gonna die when you hit the gas problem has happened to me and some others. The problem ended up being a bad TPS each time. Mine would work fine for a while then all of a sudden would have no power. It would idle fine, but giving it throttle would make it want to die. Maybe you have a combination of this and a faulty regulator. I know it's new, but that doesn't mean it can't be defective.Quote:

So it's pretty much down to Ed, Creighton, and myself. Hmm.....Ed, you just want to come to Dallas and drink? :)
I gotta get some wheelin in sometime soon. Maybe headed back overseas in a month or so.... BMRA maybe?
Or what about the new park north of Ft. Worth???

Flem, let us not forget what happened the last time you went to college and spent all your time on Dexter! Remember? Hmmmmm? :flipoff2:
try running the codes on it again. you can also need to test things like the tps and **** like that. didn't it rain on your motor a few times when the hood was off?Quote:

I still think its ICM, but those are kind of pricey
can't some parts stores test the icm?Quote:

Looks like it is just Creighton and myself right now. Ryan is a maybe for a ride along. I updated the list here.
if you can find a 94 or 95 it'll have a remote mounted ICM with a big ass heat sink, same ICM, slightly different distributor but you can just extend the wiring and make it work.Quote:
