I didn't notice this. Why not full hydro? Redundancy?Quote:

yup the house is kinda odd garage to house ratio wise
2225 sq. ft' shop/garage 3700 total under
Went by Ryan's tonight. He's been working on the cbone some more. Snapped a couple pics while I was there. Here's some pictures of his air bumps and brackets tacked into place on the front. He's still got some more work to do on the lower bumper, but still progress none the less.

Here's a few of his upper coilover mounts. He said, "I'm still thinking about some kickass tower brace to put between them." So pics of that will have to come later. Here's the passenger side.

Oh, and I think it was John Cox, but somebody wanted to see better pictures of the "frame rails" so here they are.

Cheez-its are gud
wholey jeezus. Have you mentioned what most of the material is on there? 1/8 or 3/16?
Damn. I personally can't wait to see it fly.
holy hell I dont even want to know how much this thing is gonna weigh...
probably about half what you think it's gonna weigh
The guy is so unoriginal. Seriously, think outside the box, man. And would it be too much to ask for you to not steal one of your ideas from the klogger.
:flipoff2:
Yeah, almost all of the brackets are a mix of 1/8" and 3/16". The tubing is 1 3/4" .120 wall, and all the suspension links are chromoly. Shouldn't really be that heavy compared to a trophy truck or the likes. You have to remember, this thing isn't being built to be some lightweight comp buggy that gets unloaded off the trailer, bashed on a comp course, then put back on the trailer for the trip home. This thing is going to be a balls to the wall, sand dunes/desert runner, rockcrawling and trail running, hauling ass down the highway, cyclone spinning, stereo bumping, windows up with the a/c cranked, high flying mushroom cloud laying mother ****er, mother ****er! Or something along those lines.....
klogger have AC? i hope so. I will say, fred did not say anything about stopping, so they might have that in common.
really though, not off and on trailer, balls to wall, hauling ass, links, cromo.
Went over and helped Ryan move the Cherokee from the "cinder block side" to the lift. He's added a few tubes here and there and done a ****-ton of welding on the front axle and links. It rolls and has driver's seat somewhat mocked up in it. Sat in it and it's pretty comfy for a guy my size even. Not going to be a lot of foot room, and he better get some insulation from the heat shield of a space shuttle to go next to his right foot, but sitting in it, I could definitely see driving it long distances.

Had to do this image seperate because the board is being lame. Some thing about only being able to embed 5 images in a post.

i like it even more now that i see the stance. way low and wide. i also like the major downtravel. now i am anxious to see how the sheetmetal ends up, esp after seeing the time and detail in the frame. i think a quick bath to rinse off the shop dust from the last century would be a good start - :flipoff2:
Well, that's not ride height, that's pretty much full compression. He's not happy with the rear mounts and is talking about redoing the rear mounts to bring it down some. But, Ryan plans on keeping ride height as low as possible.
Very nice!
You know how sometimes you comment on someone's ride and you say it gives you a stiffie or whatnot? I really did just feel funny in my swimsuit area looking at those pics. Is that weird? :gigem:
seeing those pix outside the shop really makes me want to do the sheetmetal so
I can tell if it's goin to look like a truck. cutting and grinding tube sux sheetmetal shapin' is way more fun. I have to keep tellin myself finish the tube so you can do the easy stuff, it's really tuff cuz I am so slow a tube work.
thanks for the compliments, it really makes it easier to get more stuff done.:rainbow:
Cool designed strut tower brace to be added when he comes up with a good design.
coilover tower brace...not struts...sorry. :flipoff2:
speaking of which, how is the body mounted now?
welded still a one piece unibody type deal
I would start a thread about it on pirate but I really think those people will tear it apart. then I will be second guessin' my self more and probably be redoin more than I already am. I really need this for wheelin' again
the secret to posting on pirate is to answer the questions before they have a chance to ask them. state your purpose for your decisions and you wont be second guessed. leave it open for interpretation and the web-wheeling will commence. you'll get way more accolades than negatives. for heaven's sake dont ask a question unless you already know the answer.
search for teenycar's jeep build, "project acrophobia" i think. this reminds me of it. look at all the knob hobbing he got and i dont think its near as impressive as yours.
you gonna be ready for King of the Hammers '09?
no holes in the hood
I'm thinking most of it will be 1/8" platework across(with holes) and tubes diagonally from the center of the next tube forward to the coil-over side of the brace.
unless the Marine Corps takes over Johnson Valley. go post up, only 1.5 hrs left.

Don't ask a question with out wording it like you would be asking a 10 year old. ;)

i knew which thread that was before i even clicked on it.:)
