no, I used like 7 just getting the old crap off the frame... That's why I added $500 to the cost which might not be enough...Quote:

Anyway, I'm gonna be in your neighborhood in a little while.
bought some 6x9's and the "pods" fit perfectly! We were pretty happy about that :gigem:
also, our new Texas Horney Toad plates that read "CRAWL" plates are in the mail from Austin :gigem:
yeah, those do fit well. i couldnt see the pic on your phone very well but im pretty certain my b hoop bracing will keep them from fitting in mine.
Those speaker boxes need some white leather... no no white OSTRICH wrapping. :) Slick.
is that paint heavy duty enough to hold up well on the inside in high traffic areas? under your feet, etc.?
I think so - I'm not going to worry about it too much... It's a Jeep right?Quote:

I am looking for some type of toolbox to go on top of the fenders between the cage for stuff that will always stay in the Jeep. Any ideas? I have been looking around but can't seem to find anything "just right". The box needs to be semi-waterproof.
I have about 20" between the cage plates, 10" wide, and ~8" tall
I have a diamond plate box from homedepot that is about that size. I will measure it next time I see it. I could not find it on google or HD website.
Pelican stuff is nice if plastic will work.
Didn't one of the other guys make one for a CJ/YJ? His looked nice.
me?
Si.

They must be good if one of the Super Joos of the United Jooish League bought one.
nice but they won't work with the cage "kicker" barQuote:

So, I had my electric fan switch in the head and it turned the fan on way too early. The coolant never even got warm. I put my dash gauge sensor in the heater hose and the needle hardly ever came of the peg.
Anyways - that wan't working for me. I had Cody add a bung at the outlet of my radiator so when the water out gets to 195, the fan will kick on. Putting the switch that low in the radiator only works with these new engines because the thermastat in on the inlet to the engine (outlet of the radiator) and not on the outlet of the engine. The coolant out really needs to be at least 195 for the thermastat to open. Anyways, I hope this works - I changed all the wiring around for it too.
The last thing for me to do before Clayton (besides get the Patrol done) is to make a better mount for the ice chest...
I also drilled and tapped the water pump for the steam vent.
i like that solution. let me know how it works.
the fan definately wont come on till after the thermostat opens now. the thermostat being in the wrong place still confuses me. it explains why i couldnt figure the system out with out researching it though.
Get that thing working. It looks like my poop wagon will even make it. <fingers crossed>
Post more pics of your engine bay and details in the gallery when you get time. I'm curious to see how you grouped wires, etc.
whats the purpose of the steam vent?
To vent steam maybe.
I am guessing it is like a popoff valve if I had to be a guessing man....
