Cause its mo better, right eric?
yeah did you not read my technical assessment? :)
its dumb
whats so hard about welding in a circle?
but he can drop $2000 on new tires?
i dont care what you guys do, i just wont do it
Almost!!
to me spending the money on a $600+ front driveshaft just isnt worth it, with square tube you can basiclly have unlimited travel, a constant "spline engagement", and if you are feeling frisky even .375 wall. Now for the rear its a different story.
stepping up to the big-boy tires:gigem: You and DavidO will be like twinkies now:D
Don't be jealous Scott.
:)
someday I'll take the plunge
these guys run Toyota drivetrains and 42" TSL's... If they can do it...

for st. john, fred, and whoever else was talking about thread engagement when we thought a intake bolt stripped the head. i'm just going to put the longer bolt back in and forget what i saw.
I got a tbi setup from a 92 craprice for cheap. after i get the intake to stop leaking, i'll start stripping the harness.
tight, you maybe wanna look at getting the 454 tb
is this a 360 or 390?
and did that caprice have a 305 or 350?
I think the computer part # will end in 846. if so you have to run a manifold temp sensor. You could switch to a truck computer and use the same harness but no temp sensor if you want it to be more simple. thats what all the aftermarket crap does.
360
you gonna get a new head?
don't scrap it, JB it
Deffinately try to get a 454 throttle body, they are MUCH better (bigger bores and higher volume injectors) than the small block ones. The 305 and 350 TB's are the same, I think even the injectors are identical.
Sharpe, it's a 1 7/8" bore versus a 2" bore on the throttle bodies. The small block ones will flow enough for a factory headed FE 360. The injectors for a 305 and 350 are not the same. But, we snagged a set for you at the junkyard today Cook, so you'll be good to go there. We gave them to Flem, so he'll get them to you when he returns to CS.
also discovered today that i had two dead spark plugs, 1 and 8. i know number 1 was dead/dying before clayton because i had no flash from my timing light. thought it was broke
after a fire that pretty much destroyed the air cleaner/hoses/spark plug wires/wiring under the hood, fuel injection by flemco.
Looks good, I wish there was Flemco Sales office in Houston...
Looks like there will be after today's fair.
Flemco/Fredco fuel injection is by application only, and by that I mean you can't be a fag.
Didn't get any pics, but he chopped off the top and cowl bar today and put on the half doors. Doesn't look too bad.
who took my registration sticker?

Discovered another **** up that i would have to fix. Total list is:
lower kingpin/bearing/whatever else in there
passenger inner shaft, hub, ujoint, and outer likely ****ed, spindle also
front pass side main leaf is bent, in addition to the rear driver main
clutch is slipping, probably ****ed
need to do something with the cab; tube, replace, or something
seats and belts need to be replaced
issues that need to be addressed:
not enough gearing. tired of going through clutches, so dump 1500 into it for a doubler or klune.
the 60 keeps breaking
cage
It sucks ass to trailer this thing because its so wide, tall, and heavy. So I'm thinking about aborting this thing and moving on to something that will reward me better for the work that I put into it or letting it sit for awhile. the latter is probably whats going to happen. im just pissed off at it right now.

Lately it just got cool, well keep it and wheel the piss out of it, but build a cage first
Do it Cooke, DO IT. . .

he'd have to cut a hole in the roof so he could even fit in it.
