Well one trip to Clayton was apparently all my Longfields could take. finally got time to visit my truck and tear apart the passenger side of my axle. I don't think it is supposed to look like this...
I think this stuff

WTF? How did that even happen? I thought the bell came apart before the cage? Hooray for lifetime warranty!
wheels turned to lock?
Lowlowfirst?
Reverse?
all of the above?
big tires and low gearing get you there... fun stuff
I mean when it cut loose? Or did it not pop all at once? Those are the 30spl chromo bad dudes, right?
Correct, bad dudes. Actually it popped twice when I had to make a 15 point turn when I went down something that was a dead end. I think I had wheels at full lock and in reverse and thought I had brought it out of 4 wheel drive but I guess I hadn't. Got out of the spot and realized my right front passenger tire wasn't spinning.
full lock and reverse...better tell Bobby you were "just driving along" :D
yeah i bet that you over steered them, you should check your steering stops.
they are tested beyond what the turning capabilities of the axle are. it would be impossible to over steer them. there is an ump teenth discussion about this on pirate arguing about longs and dirty thirties.
the **** broke. how much does this truck weigh again?
eckert you're so rad, can I have your babies?
congrats on the karnage Chris :gigem:
