It has been raining so much lately that my most recent wax job was a bit pointless and I realized just how much pinstriping I have on my truck there isn't a scratch free body panel on the damn thing! Pisses me off... :p

It's done with Jeeps all the time, theres just so many of them out there that the high rollers get lost in the herd. There was a (hack) shop not too long ago in Dallas called Custom Jeep that took on many showroom fresh projects involving complete drivetrain swaps. When the new Mustang came out Mustang and Fast Fords had an article pretty much one month after release about a guy putting in a 5.0HO.

It was already lifted - and he said that it didn't flex good enough / always lifted tires etc... He's been driving it off-road and it wasn't good enough...

I don't have any problem with the guys having a Jeep shipped to Sunray for a complete drivetrail swap and suspension - at least they know what they want to begin with - more power to them :gigem:

just leave the dirt on it, it hides the scratches

Yea I like this new idea. Get all the parts ready to go before you tear it apart. I also think the leaf springs on that other guy's one are a waste. Sure he'll get lots of flex but also plenty of axle wrap and other leaf spring problems. What type of springs are used on the front of those? Coil, coilover, or torsion? I really do like the front suspension I used on my jeep, it's alot like a tj long arm conversion. However if I redid the rear it would be a 3 link + panhard, I think.

Hey flem - whatever happened to custom jeeps of dallas? I member they had a sweet cj6 liek 10 years ago. I googled them but nothing popped up.

not sure, they just kind of faded away.

That cj6 was pretty sweet, but it had some gayness to it like a functioning airbag from a dodge truck. Their mindset was to transplant the entire vehicle harness and steering column into a vehicle. basically cut away the body of a car and surround it with Jeep.

Damn you got me there, One Army for one semester, but I would hardly call that a frat, got talked into it by my best friend, got through the whole admission and initiation process and found out it was just as gay as a frat but instead of paying for the parties up front you paid for them as they got held. It sucked so I ditched it. Still no frat tho.
