He said his transfer case locked up (casting flaw in the t-case) on the highway. He said the torque converter was locked up at the time, so I'm guessingthats how it snapped the crank.
I would think that the torque converter studs would have sheared before the crank would.......
Should find out this morning if its the crank for sure. Went ahead and updated got a smoking deal. The muffler fluid is the only drawback.

I feel kinda nekkid in it though, needs some window dressing. (hint, hint..)
good looking truck Ed
I love the new duallys, looks great!
ed, did you find out if the crank snapped?
I got a free set of towing mirrors for my truck today. Now I can drive around with them extended and pretend I tow heavy **** all the time. All I need is smoked cab lights, a stack and stars on my wheels to fit in in college station.

Nice!
They are pretty sure the cam lobes started coming apart. Still not sure why though. Gonna bring it home and start weighing my options.
A jy motor may be in the cards if I can get some skrilla saved up. I definitely want to tear this one down to see if its worth rebuilding. A 7.1 stroker dirtymax would be peemp!
No stacking of stacks, painting grills or poser cab lights, just doing work like a boss :flipoff2:
Just 11k, averaging 11mpg at 70. Not great, but it will do
edit; Had a tire go out on 35. Went flat and lost the bead. Very scary.
Not bad for a gas 3/4 tonhttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/12/12/09/a7a5y7a9.jpg
