damn I wanted the CV's. Oh well.
one CV was still good, the other is in a bag of pieces...
did some work yesterday afternoon/evening. Busa got the new TG rear springs installed and all hangers welded up. Swapped the oil pan for the T100 pan and did the required dipstick relocation. Refilled all fluids that were drained - oil, radiator, power steering and axles. started the truck and found no leaks yet. got the steering bled out mostly, might still need to add a bit. Dropped the rear driveshaft off this morning and will hopefully have it back tomorrow. All thats left after that is to bleed the brakes...and of course the proper way to test any completely re-worked vehicle, the 30 mile drive from Busa's house to mine.
to make it trail worthy-ish will still need to make a new transmission/xfer case crossmember and figure out what to do about a front driveshaft
Here is Austin's truck when he drove it home on Friday.
Looks good, anyword on if he actually made it home? :flipoff2:
I talked to him last night, from what i under stood, it was like driving a cat with tape on its feet
he bobbed the bed 13"... hope he gets some picks up of it soon
i think thats about accurate...full hydro takes some getting used to...
the g/f followed me home, she called and asked why I was driving so slow...apparently the speedo is off...it said i was going 65 when she was behind me in the Dodge going 55...didnt expect that. anyone know a fix? just replace the speedo gear in the transfer case?
yes...cut about 4" off the bottom of the rear of the bed sides and bobbed 13" out of the bed...got the sides welded up inside and out, working on welding the floor back together, but those cuts didnt come out as straight, so it sucks. 13" was perfect to be able to use the rear crossmember bolt as the rear most bed bolt. still going to need to do a bit of body work to make it look decent.

got shocks installed...need something about 12" travel...Ranco 5012s are too long for front application.
also got the hole in the firewall for the steering shaft covered up, and steering shaft painted.
cut the transmission crossmember and the factory driveshaft bolted on...its too short and splines are almost maxed out but it worked.
