locker fixed? WHen are they pulling out of CS?
no locker is not fixed, yet. gonna go over there in a min. I heard it start and run for about 20 seconds. flem needs to work his magic. and the front end needs to get setup. i'm not sure what else.
she runs and she is MEAN, videos to come. tomorrow we will get the exhaust on and tie up the lose ends, thensee about gears. If anyone has a pinion depth tool i can borrow that would help a bunch.
Fawkin sweet!!!!
Talked to Flem earlier. Says it sounds really mean with open headers right now. He didn't talk long though. I think he said they were getting ready to bleed the steering system.
I'm glad this project is being done in true Tamor fashion. Reminds me of this one:

The thing sounds fawking awesome with open headers. Somebody needs to hurry up and post the video. Glowing headers look pretty sweet at night too.
working on the video now, maybe that $300 student version of premiere is worth it

Rowdy is funny and Sharpe you need to stop shanking people
Oh and good job on keeping the power steering reservoir topped off sharpe
When is it pulling out? I might stop by later tonight if yall are still working on it.
Anyone know if dual tbi's has been done before? If not that is awesome!! Hope everything goes as planned today.
I've seen it done in pictures, but I don't know what computer was being used. The tbi computers that we all use for this stuff will not work in stock configuration. They are peak and hold injectors and the peak time is based on current which doubles with the additional injectors. its a lm1949 and there is a .1ohm resistor that controls the peak time, its value had to be cut in half to .05ohm (not something midstate or radio shack can get) so we cannibalized a junk camaro tbi computer for the resistors and soldered them on the board in parallel. Without modification the driver goes into hold mode before it hits the peak voltage and the injector either won't open or won't completely open.
If someone has an extra 1227747 ecm sitting around we could use it. I'm not certain on the longevity of this hack, there might be a reason I haven't seen anyone do this.
Clayton has one I sold him with all of my tbi crap. He might let you borrow it if necessary.

Here you go Clarke. Me being helpful.
Swung by earlier. Flem is wiring, Clarke was fabbing up the intake. They still have to put new gears in the front tonight in order to have it at the exhaust shop tomorrow morning. Good luck guys.
come on clarke, pretend like The Beast is an unruly bar patron...and knock that sh!t out!
In utah gonna take a nap later then be in vegas in the morning
I've always suspected 12 volt guy stuff was junk, after working with this I've realized I was wrong. Its ****ing junk.
rewired the majority of the chassis today. No more random sparks when you shake the truck!
the beast is on the trailer and headed to cali
is it ready?
sure
On the road, almost to wichita falls. Cannon ball run all the way to cali.
Time for a nos I guess.
hammer down!
when is check in?
Mon at 5
Amarillo, ~7.5 mpg running 75. 500 miles down, 1300 to go..
Are you going to stop for a break here in vegas or just drive on through
Vegas, scaled @ 27.7
who else are you towing?
just got a txt from sharpe, they wont let them cross the hoover with the trailer, gotta take the bypass
I think they just had the truck, 2 atvs, and a big welder, plus 4 guys and there stuff. Still seems high unless that new flatbed weighs a ****load.
tools could be pretty heavy, but still, thats high!
they took a lot of crap, weld, generator, plasma, torch, bottles for it all, 2 atvs, heavy ass beast, heavy ass trailer, heavy ass truck
saw this on pirate, sounds promising.
Also saw this on pirate regarding the dual tbi, sounds like this asshat that thinks we did crossfire on a bigblock has beat us to the gold that is dual tbiQuote:
uh oh....only 90% done this late. barring some heroic thrashing, the alternate might get in!
and what makes me a skeptic to the above asshatery, this was regarding the setup from the arfcom, pirate, what have you equivalent to TBI forumsQuote:
Sounds cool. Can't wait to see it!
Been done tho. I've done 2. And it was OE on 88-91 (IIRC) Corvett's.

I was just talking to someone the other day. For about 10 years people have talked about doing a dual TBI but this could be the first one I have seen actually run
