Something tells me the baby picture of your scout is much worse.
It turns out this bronco has a nasty curse about it. It seems that the owner of this truck never gets to finish the damn thing. I might have to put this on hold for some job related fun.
i actually drew a eb way back in hikeskool. Ill have to dig that picture up.
last night on a sausage commericalQuote:

Well I started to sand blast the floor boards its going to be a long task ahead. I have the tail gate done and primered. I just have the rest of it to do.
In case anyone wants a 4.5'' grinder home depot has the dewalt one on sale for 60 bucks. I got one today one hell of deal I thought. I am waiting till they put the 220v mig welders on sale :D
closer to christmas everything will go on sale.
Well I am going to have to step up the pace on this rig. I need to get it driveable in 6 months due to some work bs I have to deal with.
So the new plan is as follows
get the floor ready for my herculinear
put the old doors on and weld them a little
get the engine and tranny running in good shape(have the motor running)
service the brakes.
and primer the truck with expoxy primer and finish the body work.
I have been working on the floor. Its is a pain trying to get the old linear up. I will post some pics when I get home from work today. I also ordered me a New Millermatic 175 welding machine. I need to fix some places in the floor
Mine had some old bedliner in it also, just used a torch to heat it up then scraped right off with a paint scraper.
That would be great is somone did not have my torch KARL!Quote:

have you tried putting ice or dry ice on it to make it brittle, then chipping it away?
Brake fluid is the shiznat. Mine leaks down the inside of the firewall and all the liner is just coming right up. Get a big economy bottle and brush it on :gigem:
buy a small handheld propane torch or see if someone you know has a pear burner, both of these two suggestions are extremes at opposite ends of the spectrum but would prolly work.
I think brake fluid eats just about anything it comes in contact with. I am about 50% done and I am using a grinder with a wire wheel. I think I will just use it. I have some paint stripper that works ok but that stuff just makes a nasty mess.Quote:

I have some tires and rims coming from karl just so I can put some tires on to test drive this dude around a little. I fixed/ beat on the top last night and got it close to normal.
The next major steps
putting the windshield on.
doors
gas tank for FI (fuel cell or I might try to find a bigger tank not sure whats available for these EBs) I want 20 or so gallons
putting on the FI
Installing the dash
lights
brakes
so you don't want the engine from the F350?
www.wildhorses4x4.com and www.bcbroncos.com has 24 gallon tanks, I'm running one right now and its awesome.Quote:

So do you just run that one tank? Or do you still have two tanks?
I just run the one tank. But yea they shouldnt be too hard to fab up yourself.Quote:

Well the UPS man who has a pocket knife left this for me today. I will get the bottle and try it out tomm I hope.
I also use my kitchen table as my work bench since I dont have a garage. My land lord loves me.
I would also like to point out that some 2nd rate engineer left the handle off this cart. How are you supposed to move this thing around?
well if youve got a big bottle on there, just grab the bottle and use it as the handle or, you get to bend over and push it
nah someone really f'ed up this deal on this cart. I really hope someone got fired over not putting a handle on this cart.Quote:

Well I got the final word from my boss man about my assignment for this coming year. Since I am the single guy in my work group I am being sent to our plant in Canada for about 6 months to get their new machinery online and making parts. I will probably be leaving march/april.
I am going to see what I can get done on this truck before putting it in the barn.
can I foster your motorcycle while you are gone?
Where in Canada? Doesn't matter...I'm pretty sure it will have better wheeling than we have here. Why don't you kludge it together enough to wheel and take it with you?
