ok....i saw in the meeting minutes that a hotel is recommended? wtf? hotels are for sissies, and all the drinking fun is had around a bigass bonfire.
so....who's camping? i plan on it.
I sure as hell don't have the money for a hotel and drinking around a big bonfire sure sounds alot better than spending money on a hotel, and leaves more money for the beer
Camping! By then I plan on having a bumper mounted barbeque pit built and some kind of matress for the back of my burb so I'll be roughin it in style.
The only reason why the hotel was brought up is because theres about a 90% chance that it will be raining and cold, at least the last 2 or 3 trips in the winter were. I could be wrong but its to cheap not to. $30/4=$7.50 I dont know how that can be cheaper than camping and the good times are at the hotel also ask conlee he should remember, If i remember correctly I only drank one bottle of Jack that night

I can take like 3-4 people up to clayton, but only got room for one on the trail with me. first dibs goes to jeff and brandon, but i they dont take it any one of you guys are welcome to ride with me. maybe just pitch in a little for gas?
I'm currently on the fence about whether to go or not..
whatever-do you have a trailer?Quote:

Yeah right now, I'm on the fence... but I'm trying everything I can to go...
If anyone knows of a gooseneck for sell, let me or wingfield know... cuz we're looking to split one hopefully...
brandon its your lucky day! im from sa and i have a trailer
PM me if you need a tow and don't mind paying 50% for fuel.
I only have a regular cab and I won't take more than 1 guy and 1 girl or one guy. That means you may have to ride with someone else depending on which friend I bring.
In edit:
This all depends on how well the Stroke pulls and stops this trailer with David's Burban and the Mazda on it. I'm going to do a test run before I make a decision.
I'm also looking for a tow up there but if not I'll just leave a day early :D
Yall get on the horn and look for a trailer that can haul two rigs and is a steal of a price. whoever finds it, i'll give a tow up there. if not i'm just gonna get a single car trailer (for my blazer that is)
I might be able to tow someone from Dallas...
If I go, I'll probably end up staying a few extra days in Plano afterwards, so if you can get back to CS on your own or don't mind leaving your vehicle hitched to my truck for a couple extra days that could work...
DAMMIT. I dont think The Man wants me to wheel EVER. I missed the first two runs b/c of mechanical problems, slept in too late for the third one and now my aunt is getting married on the 18th. DAMMIT. I would go but my trip would basically be, drive up there the 16th, get drunk as ****, drive home to northern mexico (10-11 hour drive) on the 17th. No wheeling and too much driving to get ****faced. Feck
its just an aunt....not "really" blood related....sorta....send a nice card and go wheeling puss. :D
what does "the man" have to do with any of that?Quote:

depends
i know my dad might be coming. I know i might be towing travis up there if he gets his runner going. We'll see, but yeah you've got a ride i guess.
where can someone get a 25 day forecast? Hell, the weather man can't even predict tomorrow's weather. If you know someone that can ask them for this week's lottery #'s. I'll be camping needless to say. PS bring the TAMOR tent for us.Quote:

I plan on driving up Friday afternoon to Fort Worth and then up from there dragging the trailer and Rover. I figure worse case scenario I can crash in the 'burb. Is there a place to camp where we can pull the trailers and truck's off the road? I'm trying to remember if the road was descent to where some good camping was. Also, David...Why are you towing the burb?
I got go up there and ready the rover...Make sure the battery is charged, fill it with gas and start it! :flipoff2:
I would really like to stay in a Hotel but I will definetly come prepared to camp
There is a hotel, and behind it there is primitive camping for $5 a day. That gets you a shower, too. There are a few hotels in town, and some camping just on the edge of town in Yanush.Quote:

Oh, and I'm not towing the suburban, I'm probably towing Joeseph with the suburban.
If I can just find someone willing to part with their trailer for a few days.Quote:
