Winch prices have more than enough markup for them to still be making plenty on the M8000 at $500.

you have 2 frame brackets a 2 track bar brackets and 4 axle brackets, one to go ontop of the pumpkin and to come off the axle. not too hard but you have to use a little intuition to figure out where you want everything.
oh watch drivesshaft/ upper link mount clearance
I just googles warn m8000. A website had it for 539 with 10% off. It expired the 20th though
well I played around with the 3-link parts a little and figured out how all the brackets go together. I will have to get the axle under it to see where everything will mount on the frame and axle though. It is a whole lot less confusing once you figure out that 4 of the pieces go together to create one bracket, two pieces weld to the lower link bracket for the one upper link and there are two spare pieces that are opposite if you are running other side drop axle.
All i got done today after work was I got all the inserts welded into the links and the Johnny joints put on them. I am off Monday and Tuesday and hope to atleast get the framerail cleaned up, pull the 60 from under th bronco and set it under the jeep, lay out everything and see how it is all going to fit under there. Also gonna try and figure out exactly where my wheelbase is gonna end up. I think it is gonna be 110-112".
i worked on the 3-link today and made some good progress. I think I have it how I want it now. I started with the upper link on the pass side but then moved it to the driver side. Busa said it works better on the pumpkin side and it turns out it fits better on that side anyways. I still have lots of grinding to clean things up before I can weld anything in place. My torch screwed up. I had been using it off and on all day, I came back from lunch turned the bottles on and the oxygen bottle PSI went through the roof and blew my hose up. I think my gauge took a crap on me or something because it didn't get adjusted at all from when I used it earlier. Not having the torch is gonna slow progress down a lot.
Sounds like the diaphragm on your regulator took a ****. Some can be rebuilt, just take it to your local welding supply and see if they have parts for it. (I would just get a new one and be done with it though I believe.)
it is a victor and should be able to rebuild for cheaper
There are pics from today on facebook if anyone wants to tell me I am doing something wrong
it is looking good, but i do not know anything about link setups so i guess its not worth much
Just get a new regulator it is like 50 bones.
picked up a master cylinder and ordered a new oil pan. Pan should be in tomorrow. I need to sell some more crap. My off-road account is now in the red.
started to swap the master. I came across this problem. The area circled in red is different. The New one is a smaller size. his means it will not work correct?
nice steel toes...
