did the gear puller i lent you work
no, it was too small. i'll drop it off sometime this week
axle is under the truck. the guy i ordered parts from sent me the wrong lenth spindle studs so im stuck waiting for those.
the city is on my ass now for the truck sitting too long
looks like the springs got a little more arch now, i still say you need to take those shims out, put an angle finger on the kingpin caps and see what the caster is.
dad is looking for the steering should be here sunday

the 3 we are using on brian's front d60 ( we checked they are long enough etc) are from oreiley's they usually keep 1 or more at each store. i can get a part number later or you can drop off my puller and look at them yourself. i will probably forget so you may want to call me
what are the measurements?
9/16 3.25 wide at least 8.5 long
10 5/8 long 3 3/8 wide 9/16 thich part # 35645 HELP is the brand
4 wheel parts was cheaper and had the right size. even though they ****ed up the last order i had, i ordered from them.
steering. so heims or tre's and dle's?
i've heard that heims don't have enough misalignment to be used on drag links. dle's have the most degree of range. are they weaker? do people use the drag link hole in the right tre on chevy ends? both seem to be in about the same price range. if heims will work, i'd rather use them so i don't have to ream holes.
Unless your arms are double-shear I would tend to think TRE's would be better. I know plenty of people run heims on a single shear bolt but it seems like the bolt hole would begin to wallow out after some hard wheeling. Yes reaming is a PITA but I'd say its probably worth it. Not to mention if you broke a TRE on a trip it'd probably be easier to find than a heim in a podunk town parts store.
where is the reamer that you had?
tre's - my vote. street legal too.
Its Garrett's, and he's in the land down under until further notice.
mine is in shupes tool box
