Picked a little something up today. The more I look at it the more I realize it's just a glorified carburetor. No map, o2, IAC....all it has is a coolant temp sensor, a tach sensor and a tps. However it is 670 cfm, so it should keep me from losing power at the top end.

holley projection?
Yep, analog
Gotta love alpha-N, leave all that dumb technology out of the picture.
Summit brand coils are pieces of ****. Replaced one last week under warranty, yesterday the new one went out.
I called summit and used my summit bucks to get a mallory coil......should hold up better, made in 'merica.
msd is made in china
Summit said all the MSD stuff is made in China on the phone.
Thats odd, Juarez is across the street from them.
parting it out?
Next stop, scrap yard! :flipoff2:
I laughed
What is the timeline for putting it back together?
two weeks to wheelable. no more bs.
No, won't fit.
Tonight we (as in sparling) rebuilt the transmission (don't worry c-6's are much simpler than e40d's) and then we spent 3 hours trying to put it on. Come to find out, the torque converter was wrong. A 400 torque converter will fit a 360 but a 360 torque converter will not fit a 400....
Also pressure washed the frame and spray bombed it.
I don't have to work tomorrow. So tomorrow night i'll need some extra hands to get the body on.......then weld the trans tunnel in.......then the hood and fenders.....then to maaco for a paint job....then the cage when Evan gets back
I don't want my name associated with that transmission after you wiped up nasty ass old atf off the table to lube up parts, but I guess I can blame you if it doesn't work
I used my fancy part number to application guide and it says that torque converter fits a 360,390, 351, 400, 429 and 460 but only up to a 76 year model and after that it's a different torque converter.
new body on, trans in........torque converter was a bitch to seat.
Lookin good!
Put skis on the trans tunnel. It's going to bolt in so it's easier to work on shifters, driveshaft ect.

Tomorrow I'm figuring out body mounts and hopefully getting the whole front end together.
Looking good!!! Just keep lots of zip ties around to hold everything together ;)
Thanks, I think that's how i'm going to have to hold the grille insert together. That or jb weld.....
You could always make inserts that go behind and use sheet metal screws.
Don't scrap it! JB WELD IT!!!
Check out my thread I couldn't get the grille right so I used some small size expanded metal and glued a ford emblem in the middle. It came out pretty decent. I will commend you all on all of the work, but I have never liked the look of full narrowed bronco's.
The thing is every narrowed front truck ends up looking wrong. Like a fat girl with small tits. If you're gonna have small tits you better at least be skinny.
Is that grill plastic? I did some narrowing of the grill around the winch on my disco and used the 3m plastic glue (the kind that requires the $80 dual tube cacking gun) with unneeded bits of the grill as backing material. Drilled some holes sanded down the excess and painted it. It came out better than half assed.
