Two life flights and three ambulance trips total for the weekend. One from a four wheeler that was coming back from the haunted trail ride on the paved road and never saw a curve/turn doing about 60. His passenger had a swollen foot the next morning and he had 10 stitches in his ear. Saw it happen. He's damn lucky he didn't hit my niece and nephew he was trying to pass. Darwin really missed out on that one....
Another girl gashed her neck open on a half window in a rzr when it nosed into a ravine. She lucked out and missed any vitals and only going to end up with a scar. I think she was on one of the life flights.
Four guys rolled a jeep and none had seatbelts on. One took the other ride in the chopper I believe. All lived, forgot the extent of their injuries.
Four guys i
On my way out I asked a guy I know who was volunteering as staff for the weekend, he said in the Jeep roll that resulted in life flight that the guy had "Dislocated his head". I asked in pure amazement and apparently you can pop your head out of socket and not die. According to him the group was coming back into a camp ground and decided to donuts, the jeep rolled and no one was wearing a seatbelt. The injured person landed with the jeep roll bar on top of him inbetween his head and shoulders. According to the guy I know, somehow the injured person was doing ok and expected to recover. I have no idea how you do that and are not paralyzed.
That being said, you will never find me in an off road rig without a seat belt. I put my lap belt on when I take the thing on and off the trailer.
I had a good time. Brought the Scout out, other than a broken hub and a fuel filter I had no issues. I took no pictures, so if anyone has some please post it up, particularly when I was driving up the Chili Bowl or when Frick flopped in the Chili Bowl.
Frick's fuel pump took a poop on him
Robbie broke a front driveshaft
Cook too a swim in the muddy water, then his Hub broke, followed by his alternator crapping out
When I left Sunday JB's ranger was non-functional
I think both wagons were still going
Here is the link to the Facebook album. I am combining the pictures as i get them/see them.

Sofia and I had a good time.
No carnage from me during the trip but the Jeep almost didn't make it there. I pulled it out of the garage on Thursday at 3:00pm to find that 2 out of the 3 dana 44 highsteer studs were sheered off the driver side knuckle. I pulled the knuckle and raced to the local machine shop. Got there as they were closing their doors. He said he would look at it in the morning and let me know. I couldn't find any 4" long 9/16" fine thread studs in town so I picked up some grade 8 bolts and the machine shop called at 10am and said the knuckle was ready to pick up. They milled out the old studs and chased the threads. I put everything back together and was in Alto around 4pm on Friday.
I had a blast.
The Ranger was borrowed, then broke a belt.
Stuck the Jeep pretty good and had to fix a radiator hose.
Wagons both still run. Turned into a little demo derby.
The concert was pretty sweet.
This week will suck

This is all that I taped from that hill climb all mashed into one video. Enjoy.
It was weird how you approached it and the video doesn't do the incline justice. And now after watching the video, I think if I would have hammered it and turned into the wall, I would have had a chance. The passenger sheetmetal would have faired far worse for it, but it's not like I'm that worried about it.
See, the problem was I didn't have you there to spot me Creighton, or any spotter help. I should have asked for some I guess.
Yeah, well my method doesn't always work as I would expect it and you brought home a vehicle that wasn't broken.
It was a weird start at the bottom. You either tried to stay to the right and ride the wall or gun it up the ruts and get over the hump and around the curve. Fun trail, I wish I had my XJ
I am 2/0 at winning the title of ALTO MASTER! Jb can try again if he wants
From the pictures I have seen, it looks like JB wins.
Bring both of the wagons to Rednecks with Paychecks for spring break Mar 12-15 and we can solve this.
