Cheap marine 351W in H-town, might be worth some parts to yeah jimmy

thanks for the heads up. I'll send him an email, but I'm thinking I'd rather get a rebuilt short/long block and start with that at this point. If that one's hosed too, then I waste time and money tearing it down to find out it's junk and then I have two ****ty ford motors to get rid of. If those manifolds are usable I need some, but they look as rusty and ****ty as mine.
Yeah I just saw that while I was looking for my dream offshore fishing boat :gigem:Quote:

I priced a set with gaskets at $380, waiting to hear back from my motor connection

All I need now is a Rover motor and my troubles are over!!
Bought some more ford trash last night. If it works out, you'll never hear the end of me bragging about it. If it doesn't work out, you'll never hear about it again. :)
We're talking about jimmy brune here, regardless of whether or not it works out, we'll never hear the end of it.Quote:

Well, if it works out....he'll definitely have something interesting to talk about.
Come on - at least give us a teaser.
Well if it works out I might be renaming the boat Bruce Springsteen's nickname.
Nice - just make it sound mean....
Well, it has through hull exhaust, no waterbox or mufflers....sounding mean? CHECK!
Hey jimbo post a fullsize pic of your avatar.
It's just the "deadliest catch" dvd cover or something, and I painted "White Trash" on it. It's what Jerry, Mike, Karl, Kopecki, Frick and whoever else were calling our jugline fishing the other day.
Hey, ain't tryin to hert no body.... just have a good time......
Wait for tomorrow when I post pictures of the Grand Trashanol....
The guy already took it off craigslist.Quote:

Both those have 4 wheels and the necessary axles to move. You would lose your ass in the trade.Quote:

Anyone know where to find a new 351W bare block cheap?
jegs? I might have a lead on one. Let me ask at work tommorow
The key word is new, Jegs wants $1300 or so.
The big secret is that I bought a 351 "Pro Boss" Multiport motor, (310HP/375 ft/lbs.) all the wiring/computer business, and tansmission out of a 2000 Nautique or similar the other night off an ex-con lesbian. (Wish I was joking about the ex-con lesbian part) The price I paid for it was cheap enough to overlook the missing freeze plugs on the block. We tore the motor down and I've never seen a cleaner motor. It looks like they took a few laps around the lake, put it up for the winter and didn't bother to winterize it. I had the heads checked out and they came back fine. So now I basically have an almost brand new motor with a cracked block. This is why I say I could get a bare block and switch everything over. The other idea is to get a rebuilt short block, then throw all this cool stuff on top of it. Either way it looks like Irene won't have a stupid carb either. So...anyone have a new 351W block around cheap?
Yeah...
would a junkyard truck motor work like whats in my truck? just seems like that would be a somewhat cheap route. but you said new - why new? keep from machining costs etc? badass btw.
I will testify that thang is going to rip some sh!t!
I want to take my crank/rods/pistons/cam and put them in another block. If I were to get a used one it would probably need to be honed or whatever at least. If I go to the trouble of getting a used motor, I'll just buy a rebuilt short block. By the time I located a used one and had it redone it'd be as much as buying a rebuilt short block. I guess a lightly used bare block might work, but I'd rather start with a new one.
That's kick ass Jimbo! Can't wait to see it up and running.
jimmy you need one of these on your boat
http://www.lilmynx.com/lilmynxwakepole.php
Kinda needs one of these first.....
Fawk it, if you can get strippers on it, I will paddle for ya. ;)
it's installed on an Centurion even!
BTW, mothballing Irene until after football season.
