mesquite?
Should be close to the 20/80 split. It's the other side of Fair park, that's all you really need to know. It's about 30 min away for me if yall do anything.

probably will be what i put back in the springs.Quote:

Yep. And tighten that crap out of your Ubolts. You should be set after that. I'm curious to see how it works out.
got new steel shims off ebay. i was surprised that they were "spotfaced" for the bolt head already. went to mack and got some hardened allen socket head bolts for the springs. supposedly they are stronger than grade 8 bolts.
this is what i came up with for keeping the springs aligned. just kind of copyed the retainers on the main leaf
that's a great idea, are they all one piece and bolted into the spring pack?
yea, the retainers are 5x3" .25 square tube with one side cut so its all one piece. it isnt bolted to the pack but its sandwiched in there pretty good between the clamps themselves and the u bolts
The only thing I might wory about would if it would end up rattling, but if it is tight enough it looks like it will work fine.
driver side was the same way. guess the first time the leaves spun it broke the center bolt. explains why i had to beat the add a leaves back in several times friday evening.
i need to do the u bolt flip on the driver side too
just wanted to post some recent pictures
Looking good Cook.
