With 35's a 1.5" will be plenty. I went with a 1.5" on pigpen due to having hydroboost brakes and even with 42s it was fine. Don't forget to add a cooler if dont already have one.

look ok? the pump itself will be from horeilly or vatozone. the plan is to first get a P pump and cooler on the vehicle, then I'll buy and mount the ram.
and this might be kind of gay, but first I'll have to send the reservoir out for anodizing and the can out for zinc coating. That bare metal stuff looks like ass.
if you're coming through CS anytime soon I can get you a commercial account discount.
I've always wanted one finger john deere steering. Go!
I am pretty sure the can is already zinc coated.
Why not go with a complete PSC p-pump?
I need more volume, not more pressure. A stock pump will do that. Also, I don't think their pumps are very good. At least not any better than a parts store rebuild. How many people here have had to send a pump in to get rebuilt? I know I over heard a few people this last weekend talking about sending pumps back and forth.
I have been running a PSC hd box and PSC hp p-pump with a TCI cooler for 3 years now with no issues other than the crankshaft making contact with the old Rockstomper ram lines... Clayton 2012 was the first time out since upgrading to a PSC ram, went with a 1.5 or 1.75 (I'll have to look) x 6.75. Works great, more than enough to turn 39.5" Iroks with Detroit's.....
Flem. I checked the old Rockstomper 1.5 x 8" ram and it's still good to go if you want to try it out. I ran a saginaw pump (did the hp spring mod) with it for 2 years, ran great but needed a cooler. Let me know if you want it.
hell yeah I'll try it out. Do you know what size fittings? Does it have stops or did you just use the diff cover?
And is it green?
And for mounting... this one is RHD, but you get the idea. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v7...1/IMG_5922.jpg
the few that have done it usually put some cheese dick ram that pushes the pitman arm. Looks like a great way to rip a tie rod end apart.

I'm thinking behind the axle near the radius arm mounts on the north american drivers/left/port side of the vehicle and weld a tab on the raised portion of the tie rod.

definitely mount it too the tie rod, your second idea sounds like the best one.
I'll have to double check the fitting size but it's different from the PSC's which have male AN's integrated into the ram. The Rockstomper ram has straight female ports and uses adapter fittings that connect the -6 line end to straight ram fitting.
I didn't run stops on the ram, never had an issue...
It's always been black.
