Is the 6.4L PSD a giant turd? Maybe just the 08s? DId they have it all worked out for the 2010 models? Friend of a friend uhh, wants to know.
yep still a giant turd that gets horrible fuel mileage, apparently the 2011s are supposed to be alot better
2011's are also a completely diff motor, you know right? Talked to a guy today who has one, 17.5 mpg.
too bad you bought them already - get the Longfield ones. Simple is bettter.
The 6.4 was a navistar motor like the 6.0, a giant piece of ****. The new motor is a ford motor and is supposed to be awesome.
yeah, that 7.3 was a real turd, not to mention all those 444's out on the road.
I thought the 7.3 was a ford motor?
So for my doubler I'm going to go with poly fabricator bushings to mount the crossmember. I have heard that if doing that you should swap to poly motor and trans bushings.
Are the standard and auto trans crossmember bushings the same or will I need a standard trans crossmember bushing?
This energy suspension kit should all I need.

I have always heard the bushings all need to be the same type of material.
geez, how many times does this need to be discussed on one forum?
If you have read all the way through the Cody's Box thread twice, I commend you for having the least to do of any human being in the free world.
here i saved you guys some time. Sorry frick's got this one.
Today i was changing a brake solenoid on my rear DRUM brakes in my colorado, and i had it on jack stands with both rear tires off. I started it and put it in drive to check and see if they were catching. i then put it in neutral and they continued to spin at 7 mph... does anyone know why?
spinning unengaged input shaft pushing gear oil around, which in turn pushes the unengaged output
hydroviscous fluid coupling. i read it on pirate.
It's either the tranny fairy having fun with you or some strange intercontinental fluctual rift caused by the recent excess of douchiness in the southern hemisphere.
Does anybody know anything about engine swaps in jet skis? My friends dad has 2 sea doos with 2 stroke motors (one needs a motor swap and the other just took a ton of sand in the intake), and I had the dumb idea to swap in a 4 stroke motor (read Ford 2.3L from '90 mustang) and turbo and try to make it real fast. I'm pretty sure the engine will fit but I have no idea about cracking the hull to do it or how the jet drive works, or how the engine mates to it. I'll be reading on this.
Not without having the hull redone, ive see a few at the nat. jetski drags that had 4.3 in them, but they were pretty much 100% custom boats. What year and size are they? Most of the mid to late 90's 2-strokes can make serious power for their size and wieght. We had one that I raced in HS that made around 250hp and with the right setup could do over 80mph. Even my dad's Polaris Genesis made 215hp with a reed and head kit, and exhaust.
just rebuild the motor and throw some go-fast parts at it while cutting wieght and it will become a fun little toy
I think I'll just rebuild my fishing boat instead. cheaper and I'll probably use it more. All it needs it some plywood. They aren't officially for sale yet so I don't know how much he wants for them yet. He just said that they would probably be for sale soon after the second one took in all the sand, the other one was already at the shop awaiting a new motor.
