oh BTW do ya'll just pull the fuse out to kill the interrior light or do you have a bypass rigged up for when the doors are off... I pulled the fuse but it kills my trip meter memory whenever the power is off. I don't think it effects anything else

if jeeps are anything like chevys and toyotas (plug right behind the pressure switch...unplug and no buzz/light when doors off) then please sell that jeep and buy something that's already built. You've been doing this long enough to figure this kind of stupid shiat out.
no they sell stuff for people like Tate

I ordered the Daystar 3" spacer kit and some procomp es3000 shocks today... they come in tomorrow don't know if I will have time to put them on this week or not.
the lift came in and Creighton dropped off the TJ Front Cage kit today. Got some work to do
Well we sold Emma so I am driving my truck again and got Elise a new Ride so this thing is now the extra vehicle again... I am going to clean up the front cage kit and install it soon... and then shortly after add the lift kit. Once I sell some parts off the bronco it will get some transfercase upgrades and we will go from there
12 pages and I have yet to to see anything worthy of a build thread.
sorry, post # 173 and **** still hasn't happened.
where can I get a bit to get this bolt out... it is like a torx with a hole in it
nut + welder
i think ya can get a tamper-proof torx head at napa or sears
I have to reuse them so I prefer not to do it that way... they are for the sport cage I got from creighton... The back bracket is different on mine than his so I have to swap ends
ACE hardware also has them
And Harbor Freight.
i used vice grips or you can knock the pin out with a punch
Why not replace them with a regular bolt and washer that you can put a wrench on? Is there a space issue?
those aren't really tamper proof. you can get them anywhere. tamper proof is the crap that only goes in and can't come out.
I picked one up at sears as well as a file to open up the drain holes to install the cage... sanded and repainted it... looks better
got it in... looks good
Still need to notch these plastics and install them... also need to tie the cage into the frame
or soaked with oil for 20 years
I need a coil spring compressor... I have seen them at places like sears but was wondering the best type to use... or do auto parts stores have loaner ones?
Why on earth do you need coil spring compressors working on a TJ?
Yes, they do. But there are two different types. The loaner one from advance did not work on the ZJ, so I had to go back and buy the differnt type, and return it later.
to install the spacer lift
You guys suck at working on vehicles.
