first mistake, never register vehicles under your real name! it puts you on the grid!
Round Are the sex. You need buckets, bezels, and lights. I think I have a set of buckets Ill check when I get back home this weekend.
thanks frick, I can get the bezels on the cheap, so if you have the buckets that would be the tits:gigem:

edit: How much should I expect to pay for a windshield? Can I get a windshield off of any 73-79 ford truck?
if you wait a few days i may have a windshield to sell you as well. Sorry i didnt call you back yesterday, this is the week from hell
You ever tried to remove and replace one yourself? I have tried to remove some fronts and I always mess them up. I'd go to a shop and have it done
i know a crackhead in bryan that can do it......
I've done a little reading on driveshaft components since I need to get a new driveshaft for the rear. The yoke on my transfer case is a double cardan, and the yoke on the diff is just a single.
The u-joint that goes on the driveshaft that connects into the 9 inch has caps that measure 1 1/16" (1310??)
Driveshaft length = roughly 46"
My current driveshaft is donezo and needs to be rebuilt. They want something like $400, so if I can find a brand new one for cheaper that will fit with everything the way it is right now, then :gigem:
Where should I start looking?
what parts are bad, the joints, slip, tube is bent.... as usual we need more info. tho i applaud you for your effort this time with providing information.
If you want a new one
http://broncograveyard.com/bronco/c-106
Or come get mine for $50
And i may be mistaken but i thought 78/79 were 1330 and the early bronco where 1310
You may be right. I'm only guessing 1310 since the diameter of the trunnions is 1 1/16".
@ Colman.
It needs to be retubed since the tubing is bent. Then the front (double cardan on t-case) needs a new yoke. The rear slip-member past the splined part of the driveshaft also needs to be replaced.
For $220, that's not a bad upgrade.. Everything underneath this truck is old and stock.
Thanks for the link Travis.
edit:
After looking at this a little more, these are the dimensions I found that came with the rear driveshaft.
3 7/8 x 37 1/4 x 3 7/8
Is that yoke size x length x yoke size??
Just wanting to check mine out and get it measured first before I go ahead and place the order.
Oh, and apparently during her 3 day camping trip in the Oreilly parking lot, I got several offers from people wanting to buy this hunk o' junk.
yes when i got mine, the first time i filled it up with gas, a guy asked me if i wanted to sell it....shoulda taken him up on it.
Oh, and after a little measuring.. I found out that I have a T18, not a np435
Hp i forgot to look on Friday, but I'll look for the buckets tomorrow after work. Also some 78's came with 1310's big nasty was a 1310 truck. To my knowledge all 79's had 1330's.
I was going to write a response of shift patterns of np435 and t-18s differing and then I remembered that this is a 79'; as long as the transmission was not swapped out for a 78' and earlier transmission; the shift patterns of the two trans are the same. t-18s before 79' had reverse up and to the right by the third.
My pocket is so hot it couldn't get any hotter if it was in my pocket.
I need a new rear CV flange for my np205.
1.) How do I get the old one off?
2.) How much is BVD gonna charge me for a new one?
what happened to your old one and call them to find out
its a 203 btw:flipoff2:
I have a spare for a 205
actually you are wrong
http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106384
By cv flange you mean yoke? Try 1 1/8 socket that's what most t-case nuts are.
actually hp, you are right.......my bad:beer::beer:
what is wrong with it
I will be less than impressed if your imaginary buggy doesn't end up w/ a license plate with "BLAZR" on it. :flipoff2:
Experienced what many refer to as the "death wobble" for the first time today.
That was fun
your can't experience real death wobble without leaf springs imho
oh it was real
scared the **** outta me too. The steering needs some attention. It's got quite a bit of play in the wheel, and the death wobble is not fun to deal with.
I'll probably tackle the steering when I get around to the lift, but what should I be looking to replace?
trackbar bushings or geometry. For a while I got really good at canceling out the oscillation with the steering wheel.
if its lifted you should probably look into one with a spherical joint at one end.
