Sorry, I just saw you were asking for a sketch. i'll get something up tomorrow. :)
I think you have to wait till they redeliver
ya i called... have to wait
got a new distriter cap today... the one i had on there got cracked when jimmy was riding on the engine when we towed it from storage to my house about a year and a half ago... i wanna go work on my bronco or hell just do anything but sit at my house but the ups guy is supposed to bring me some goodies today and it says from 2-after 5... so i may be stuck waiting for this guy allday
i looked into getting new calipers for the 60 cause mine are pretty fubared... is $71 a decent price for a dual piston caliper... or should i look elseware... and if so where?
I got my new goodies in... the isolator is freaking huge... didnt expect it to be so damn big after seeing the hellroaring one the other day... compare it next to the optimas
merry christmas to tate
Damn that thing is a monster. Those gauges look like they belong in a model T. Why the retro look?
gauges are hella pimp
so what does this isolator do exactly?
I could probably get them for you cheaper.Quote:

the gagues are street rod style... a little retro but hell my bronco was built over 26 years ago... i think they are bad dood... and the isolator is to rig up a dual battery setup... still need a silonoide to make it switchable... i think i am gonna go with the s55 borge warner one that austin used in his truck
unloadded reman caliper for a 93 D60 is $38, in stock. New one would be ordered(next day) and was like $60.
Chris, the isolator allows two batteries to be charged off one alternator. It keep them seperated so if one dies it doesnt discharge the other one. Thats a damn good price for any D60 caliper, mine cost $60 each and they're just the bendix ones, not the fancy dual pistons.
how big of an alternator should i get... I have heard that Rick's Starter can beef up alternators but havent called them yet. stock alternator is 55amps and i think i wanna run something like 100amps or so... Jimmy didnt you upgrade to something blingy in the 100 amp range?...
On a gasser with some accesories I would run at least 100 amp. On the burban I had a 140 amp cause I had a stereo too but the 65 amp stock alternator in pigpen seems to keep up fine, but my motor doesnt use any electricity, just the fans do.
my isolator is rated to 200 amps so i would like to get as close to that as possible
well i got some progress on the bronco today after work... i got the front calipers in, installed the toolbox, installed the hood, dovetailed the front end... i think it turned out kinda nice... i am gonna modify the grill to fit in the factory lights. here are a few pics

good couple of hours
lookin good
looks real good, it's starting to come together.
what size wheel do you have the IROKS on, and what would you guess the tire pressure is right now? They look really narrow compared to other pics and the few times I've seen one in person
17"... and 34 lbs or so... they are on a 9" rim so they is skinny
what is the best way to get the inner fender out from the skin... it is tackwelded all around and hitting a screwdriver with a hammer is taking too long... i might try the air hammer but has anyone had to cut them out before... i just want to use the skin to save on some weight and i have to beat out the pass side fender where it is smashed from the roll
headed out to the shop to get some more work done... call my cell or come on by if you wanna lend a hand
ok well got the front clip bolted down by robbing back the bushings i stole for the transmission xmember... i need a bit shorter ones for it anyways... threw on the doors so when i get the skins off the innerfenders i can mock them up and make it look atleast a little nice... it looks like i am gonna have to hack like half the fender to make room for the tires though... i put on my old mechanical fan because i am running out of money and will have to wait on the electric stuff till another day... threw the radiator in there but didnt bolt it down because i lack the rubber pieces that go on the bottom of it to absorb the vibration... i guess ford is the only place to get new ones... or old ones from jyard... anyone know anywhere else to get em?... wasnt a very productive day thus far and i might call it quits and just take the bronco back to storage... work will resume the 26th after 3pm
couple pics as it sits behind the f150
For the radiator clapy pads I lost the top ones on pigpen and just used a couple of pieces of big hose. They worked fine. So getting the grill mounted was a step backwards cause now you have no tranny mounts right?
yes but they were a little too tall anyways... i built the crossmember thinking i could use something about half as tall... now i just need to find something and it will get my shift linkage out of the body
Tate, just ditch the body and go FormulaBronco. Yeah, it's a formula revolution. :D Let's see, yours could be pastel Pink. You'll be the 3rd in the "Elite" FormulaPink group.
no way... not till it is bashed worse than those other rigs
I ordered cutting breaks form poly-performance december 21st and they still are not here... i called them a couple min ago and he said he would try and track the order down and call me back... has anyone had trouble with them in the past
ok he just called me back and said his supplier is on backorder... they said they would be shipped out on thursday so it shouldnt be long after that that i get it.... its a bummer they just didnt tell me it was on backorder... i got all stressed over nothing
Hey Dave, think I can have the first FormulaZ71? I'm tired of staying dry when it rains :DQuote:
