so what did you do for the front traction bar? I still need to figure something out on mine.

I think all you have for welding is a mig yes? Turn it up all the way to weld that nut on. Use the biggest size nut you can and weld the **** out of it. Then let it cool all the way before trying to loose it. Let it sit for a few minutes after welding then you can cool it with water if you want.
I have groover.
TO DO:
- mount hydraulic ram & pipe in - done
- weld front end - once I verify #1 is going to work.
- groove swampers - anyone have a working groover?
- swap out hubs (for ones that work) - I think these may be a lost cause for this trip.
- anti-wrap bars F & R - done
- clear up work schedule - done
- remove the broken off bolt in D-60 - done
- replace king pins (may be able to wait until after the trip)
- replace u-joints in D-60 - yeah.
Yeah, I got bigger nuts today. :) Brandon came by and cleaned it up and made short work of it. Some of it was that it was dirty, some of it was that I haven't yet mastered the technique. But regardless, it's out. Now on to new problems. My kingpins are worn badly and my u-joints are all but shot in my front end. WTF?!?!? Anyway, back to the old drawing board on the axle.
I'm about to jet out of the office and go try the steering setup.
here i forgot to add this... been busy
access:
South side of town open
charcole factory
horse back riding park- pay jess johnson
3 stage
freelings place-- pay in a gas pump
green acres-- pay in a transmittion
NO-lower power line and snake pit
except you can run snake pit starting at bottom and run to top but then you have to turn right around and go back down or else you will be ticketed
so those coming make sure to bring a little cash to pay to get it
its like $10 a place.. its on the honor system but i dont wanna see anybody not paying
At Freelings, there is a locked gate before you can get tot he gas pump. Do we still have the key? Busa? Has the lock changed? Maybe it will be unlocked.
FYI for the newbies - Freelings is about 40 minutes north of Clayton - but has some great trails.
he said that we did not need any keys.. i asked him but he said we wouldnt need any.
TO DO:
- replace king pins - almost finished last night
- weld front end - will do tonight or tomorrow morning
- groove swampers - still waiting on a groover to surface.
- mount hydraulic ram & pipe in - done
- swap out hubs - done Sexy new Warns.
- anti-wrap bars F & R - done
- clear up work schedule - done
- remove the broken off bolt in D-60 - done Replaced both with longer ones.
- replace u-joints in D-60 - done w/35 spline upgrade
I talked with Lance Morin. Some of the Black Sheep group will be up there Friday night to cut some 6+ trails on Saturday. :gigem: They're staying in the A&A Annex also.
what about the old land? they usually keep the gate locked at that place. busa has the key to the old land.
i think he said the old land was off limits
FYI, Eric and Lance bugged out so if anyone couldn't go because of lack of space or if you just want to ride up to Clayton in style (albeit late at night) call me.
We are planning to leave between 10-11pm Thursday.
I'm bailing out also, need to stay here and make sure I get all my work done before christmas.
Grayson's out
Loaded up and ready to go... Already iced down and everything. I pulled the rig up to my office today in Cleveland
Wow, now I'm a bit worried about driving so late at night. I was hoping to trade out drivers and I know Hayley isn't comfortable with just the two of us. Anybody else want to ride up with us late tonight?Quote:

So did it pass, and how many places did he have to try?
The Brune Motors and Fab crew is leaving Murphy now. Jimmy is driving his scout and Lurch is on the trailer due to a midget in the crankcase with a hammer. For those of you going, we'll see you there...and for those of you not going, we'll take plenty of pics! Wish us luck!

Awesome trip. But I was wondering if anyone found a gray and red floor jack and a broken long side shaft I pulled out of my 44, it was still attached to the outer which Is why Iam looking for it. I also left my 4 way.
I think coop took them.
you also left your tool bag, and other stuff too
Great trip. Lots of carnage, awesome trails

Well, I think that is about it for all of the carnage. It really was Christmas Carnage in Clayton this year. However there was a very awesome parade saturday night and we got the locals to do burnouts infront of the hotel.
i have you stuff conlee
trip was a blast
.... untill i lost my wallet on the top of 3 stage and couldnt go back to get it today cause the gate has a lock on it and cody was the only one with a key
FAWWWWK
:gigem:
Trip was awesome. Lots of fun watching all the carnage and meeting new people, as well as all the mooning, etc.. being done by our convoy on the road. :flipoff2:
This event really lived up the name Carnage in Clayton

The buggy is leaking in a fair amount of places. My carnage for the weekend included a radiator hose, a GM ignition module, a rocklight, and I damaged my winch cable
****, you're still here? I thought we left you locked in the ice box out in front of the hotel :flipoff2:Quote:

Last night really topped it all with Coop, Eric, and myself riding in the back of your patrol in the cold ass weather. I still don't know how I hang on riding on your spare with Coop trying to push me off.
Well, it's good to see you didn't just get pics of your own rig. ;)Quote:
