The klr and my nighthawk hide in my kitchen and you are more than welcome to get my boat outta the backyard if you want it. I will even take the lock off the hitch for yeah. :gigem:Quote:

I heard the Nighthawk was the dangerous one. Or did you scar your hands from those cold nights in Canadia? :flipoff2:Quote:

Ok, sorry, I forgot I called truce.
Back on topic...My truck is pretty much ready to rock I hope. I'm looking forward to it.
I still need to strengthen the front suspension and shorten a driveshaft for the rear. Gonna try the 2" OD normal drive shaft. I think my good old thick driveshaft will still be good for a spare. Just need to put in a fuse holder and fuse for the in cab winch controller, I reran some circuits yesterday and ran out of fuse holders. I now have powered switches for front lights, rear lights, and rock lights but they're not hooked to anything. Also need to make some sort of a handheld remote for the winch. The reservoir on my new power steering pump is leaking but I'm just gonna run it that way.
got a lot done last night.... epoxied the hella light housing back together on the driver's side light, and wired my left door speaker back in. I should probably check out the actual drivetrain sometime this week.
night wheelin allowed?
don't think so, but I plan on being pretty impaired by night time :)
no, no nightwheeling from what I hear. But, I needed to fix the hella housing anyway, so it was as good a time as any to fix it.
We were there the weekend of 9/30, the lady at the gate told us night wheeling was fine until 10 PM. :gigem:
And they mean 10PM sharp. From what I hear if you are on a trail at 10:01 PM some ******* on a fourwheeler with flashy lights will pull you over and probably try to kick you out of the park, unless somethin has changed...
LETS GIT IT AWN!!!!
I fired up the dirt bike today, got her out of the shed, soon as Jerry gets here tomorrow I will be off!
OK I suppose jeep is ready. Did my pre run check out and found I'd forgotten to reinstall the steering box brace after installing the winch, it needed to be modified a little. Didn't get to mess with the front suspension besides capturing the coils, it probably won't break. Better remember my hood and more rods. :D
Robbie will be coming up with me, but without his jeep. Should be out of here by noon.
Jimmy what time do yall expect to leave for the trail on sat. morning. Looks to be about 40ish miles from tyler to gilmer. Would like to meet up with yall before you head out.
If all goes as planned maybe 9-ish? The trails are mostly pretty short so we can plan on running short ones until you guys get there. If we get the camp we want it's off the main road as you go in. It is on your left just before the main road goes downhill by some trees. If you know where Houston Trail is, it's across the main road from the end of that trail. I'm hoping Andy or Kopecki snag the spot before anyone else does seeing as how we probably won't be there until 10-ish tonight.
I hope to be there by 6, depending on what time my co-driver can escape from work. He has to deal with the world's fattest vegetarian today.

Saturday night Gene Watson and Shennandoah are playing. We might need to check that out! There is also a Fiddle comp on Saturday, and check out that Yam Queen!!:gigem:
We've been rocking all night but don't you know, you got to get me to the church on Cumberland Road!
I was so jamming to that yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Quote:

Pics to follow ASAP.
Other than Jerry almost killing me at the begining of the weekend, I had a great time.
Awesome time. It was great to meet those of you I didn't know for the first time. And as always it was good to see everyone, thanks to Kopecki and Fred for the rides. :gigem: Oh and Karl's attire was priceless...

Karl looked like Burt Munro. We got home when I posted that earlier. It's around 8:00 now and we're headed back to pick up a fallen commrade. Good times!
good luck jimmy
hardcore trail carnage for me:
ripped a plastic end cap off of the rear bumper on "whatever"
had a great time, hope to do it again next year but maybe in a vehicle with less doors and glass :gigem:
Good times and good wheeling were had.
I had a rear shaft break while idleing around. Broke in the middle like last time. I thought they were supposed to break at the splines or the flange. Got a crack in the power steering reservior but that was before the trip. And the frame bent a little where the driver side coil and panhard mount so that's gonna be fun to fix.
Saw some high speed motorcycle wheelies while driving home.
