does that sh!t smell like oil?
Which doesn't mean much if it is, the previous engine could have had oil in the water, and gotten into the heater core.

that third pic is just funny. I'll have to take a pic at work someday of what we do.
so should I put Dex-Cool back in or normal coolant?
no - it doesn't smell like oil
I would think dexcool, supposedly there is something in the new motors (seals etc?) that doesnt mix well with green. I am no expert though. You could get a few jugs of the "goes in any car" kind, that way you will always be able to get some at any walmart! At 8 bucks plus a gallon, I would try to figure it out for good first.
it will do that again if you put dexcool in it just use regular coolant. there is no performance benefit to dexcool.
from my oil/water mix experimention I have allways found it to look more like a milkshake than a brown froth like his. I also have seen the brown froth dexcool/regular coolant/tapwater mixture type stuff in bryce's radiator in his s-10 just last week. :flipoff2:Quote:

scott, have you played with the line lock any? is it a check valve or a regular valve? as in, when you lock it then press the brakes does it brake the rear and when you press the brakes then lock it does it keep the front locked?
