you dont have to view them... but funny none the less
i ordered the rockstomper ones and the tire carrier hinge
shackles and reciever I picked up yesterday for the rear bumper
a little overkill but you know me... 3/16 plate steel to build sliders and more with
I'd just buy cool **** for that since everyone and their cousin makes stuff for TJ's and build the Bronco.
i like the fabrication part of working on these things... i dont like wiring and bending brake lines and such which i have remaining on the bronco... plus building is a little cheaper and mo betta
i am going to cut and weld it.... i couldn't find any angle that was big enough... it needed to go back about 8" to mount underneith
3/16" is thicker than the frame
yes but it is not uncommon for people to use it on sliders... fabfours uses 3/16 so i dont think it will be too heavy
You only need to fasten angle through the body under the door, not many people fab a bracket to tie it to the body mount when you make them at home.
will it support a step without tieing it in to the body mount though?
Yes. TJ floors are double wall and plenty strong.
For extra bracing, you could do like what shrockworks does, and add plate on top of the floor to distribute the load a little better.
www.shrockworks.com for pics of what I'm talking about.
Look under the CJ rocker guards for the pics.
