i'm not sure on the size of the D60 shafts, i just kinda assumed that they were bigger than an 8.8". either way, it doesnt really matter because you're trying to compare and semi-float and a full float axle. having the weight distributed onto a spindle instead of directly onto the shaft via a bearing makes all the difference in the world as to how much stress the shaft can take. all the stress on the full float axle comes from the drivetrain. the stress on the semi-float comes from the drivetrain and 5-6000lbs riding on it as well.
now, back on topic....the latest pics w/o the front clip are uploading right now. we're going to need some help this weekend (sat. afternoon) taking the tub off. we figure 6-8 people total should be able to do it no problem. any volunteers? there's beer in it for you. just lemme know to call you saturday.

i'm not sure if i have to work or not, if not, we're going to go get the other frame saturday....gordon's may be open 'til 3. i'd get off at noon, go get the frame, then come back and pull the cab. then we'll probably have to help nutz put his hitch on, so...saturday evening? i'll refill the keg and it could turn into a party.
