If not i say for those of us that will be there on friday, we make a big batch of chili (with beans, call it stew if you want but beans are cheap and good) or something equally easy.
I 2nd that!Quote:

Yes, somebody bring deer meat for the chili. I can bring my grinder if necessary.
Who's got some deer meat, like kopecki said, i'll grab the rest of the ingredients and my propane burner/pot.
I'll bring my pot too!!! Oh wait - sorry. All this talk of meth just got me excited.
I figure somebody will get some fresh meat by then. I don't hunt until late December, unless I do earlier.
klassic kopecki :gigem:Quote:

sausage fest 2007?
I can contribute a grill, large pot, burner, fryer, whatever. I might have mizzou deer, we'll see how that goes. I'll be up there Thursday around 9-10ish
I've also got a 30 gal. pot and burner I can bring if necessary and a vertical smoker. However, I might just smoke a brisket and bring it up for dinner one night.Quote:

30 gallon? nice...
yeah i dont think we'll need a 30 gallon pot. Jimmy bring your pot/burner, and i'll bring my burner just in case. the pot that goes with mine is really tall/skinny and not a good chili pot. I'll bring my big ass dutch oven to cook some conebread!
We can get a head count and such later.
Just for those who have never been out there. There is a place across from the hotel where everyone grabs breakfast (assuming you get up before everyone is ready to hit the trail), you'll need luch on the trail, and then i guess we're making dinner friday night, and saturday you can make your own, but most people go to the Clayton Country Inn down the road for a good home cooked meal.
I've got some smaller pots and burners if necessary, just let me know.
The pizza/video store is prety damn good too.Quote:

I'll take care of the planning for the dinner, assuming everyone wants to do chili.
meeting thurs?
fawk.
Apparently I am required to attend my fiance's graduation on the 15th. I am out guys. 2 years in a row that I am a no-go.
Just say no! You are in dangerous precedent setting territory here.Quote:

alright, i'll try to get something together tomm. Some canadian in NJ stole $700 from my checking account so I'll be dealing with that, but hopefully I can get it all ironed out in the morning.Quote:

How bout scrap wood for the fire? Ive got some old misc house boards im loading up for it.
last time we were there they said we cant have fires anymore
... i cant remember if we still made one, but the days of danny ray are over
We made one last year. I hit myself several times pulling limbs out of the tree with a ratchet strap.
I had forgotten about that. Classic Rowdy moments.
We can get unlimited palets from the co-op according to ryan so we were thinking of sticking as many as we could in and under our rigs for the trip up there.
Probably worth calling & checking we can actually have fires before you got through the trouble.Quote:

I thought they said that when you went there on the pre-christmas run, and then they said later we could. Regardless, i think pallets might be a little overkill, especially since they burn up in 5 minutes and leave nails everywhere.Quote:
