Mine is same as stock 2 4h n 4l.
This is busa's case. Came out of his and bolted into mine. The only thing I installed in it was the speedo sensor. I don't see how that could cause any problems
how are you verifying the ranges?
Don't know if they Are high or low but I can tell if both outputs are engaged or not. I will pull the speedo sensor and see if anything weird fell in there in transit and is acewing things up
Wasn't this in a YJ? Maybe the shifter arm on the case is a different length than a TJ one. Either that, or you're probably going to have to loosen that little adjuster nut on the horribly designed TJ linkage and adjust it for the new case. If that doesn't work, just order a Novak Cable shifter for it.

Why do I still know **** about jeeps?!
It is different. I had him send me his linkage. It still doesn't line up.
I started to change the diff fluid today, but I can't remember how to get the diff cover back on.
bwahaha
nice! toyota upgrade?
Dammit...is that Kunta Kinte?
indeed. He came over to borrow the plasma earlier. I'll let him fill in the details.
yes, it had to be done
to keep it on topic, here is some random tech on how to fix a diff cover
that new thing is .300" thick
Ahh. Okay so you just beat the **** out of it. More I-hop curb hopping? I'm disappointed I wanted to see some toyota thirds.
got the thirds, just don't have the things that go between them and the wheels.
thats just random trail damage, clayton this year finished it off
on second inspection is that a drill stem pipe cap with the threads cut off?
its a weld cap, for pressure vessels or piping or whatever needs to be capped thats 8"
I put a TJ case in my XJ, I had to swap the linkage arm on the case to mine to make it work right, the TJ linkage wanted to make it shift backwards. They have a different angle in the ovaled hole
Get your wife or someone in the jeep and have her shift the tcase shifter while disconnected from the case and watch which way it goes and then look at the case and figure out which way it needs to go and then put on the right linkage.
Tj linkage went backwards. I used the yj and it goes the right way. Just doesn't have enough throw to go all the way back
I ended up going with the 50 series Flowmaster that has dual 3" inlets and a single 3 1/2" out. Truck sounds awsome now. Now on to the injectors...
That's good to know.
Anybody know where to order a custom length chromoly 30 spline rear Dana 60 shaft? Full float with ford outer? Length is 30.25".
Chris check the splines, if it's ford I think it should be 31 spline, but double check before you order. Complete off-road I think had the best prices. They typically sell the cut to fit and you order a shaft that is in a range of 4" or so and you simply measure your shaft and cut off the excess.
youre thinking 9", not 60
Ah, yes flem I jsut went out into the shop to verify and you are correct.
Flange pattern. Thanks guys never had to do this before will give moser a call tomorrow. This is for my dad's rig
Anyone know where I can buy a caliper mounting bracket for a front late 80's early 90's Ford Dana 60? Mine have been "modified"....
man, i had some. I think I gave them to Kolpecky - or maybe Landon
What would one expect to pay to have a camper shell painted?
Anyone ever seen anything about these. . .

They seem legit, but I am skeptical considering that ballistic has been in design of a year and has not come up with anything marketable yet. Opinions?
I've seen two or three other similar ball joints out there that replace the nylon insert with metal, and the people that have them like them. I think Ballistic hasn't completed theirs because they are trying to church them up as a rebuildable joint...that and they have their hands full with providing customer service for all their other parts.
$200 per side? Just use full circle snap rings and the balljoints won't get shoved out anyway.
My e4od calls for mercon ATF but I'm not sure what kind to go with. I've used the coastal brand dexmerc from the parts stores because it's cheap but I wanted to see if there's really any difference between it and any name brand fluid. I don't want to go with a synthetic fluid.
why not synthetic, I put royal purple in my E4OD after the initial break-in and was like a dream
I know someone who can get you a smoking deal on some amsoil if you like.
Because I'm not sure if I want to stick with the e4od for long enough to make synthetic fluid worth it. Royal purple is close to 3 times the cost of conventional mercon.
Ed, I texted you for price on amsoil.
Text replied. If you aren't going to keep it that long, then the cheap stuff might be better.
