bellcrank steering
yup pretty short pitman maybe like 4" . the panhard bar bracket on the axle end is bolt on so the steering arm and knuckle can come off. the reason for swinger is so I can get the frame end of the panhard lower for less jacking, so the heim on the steering arm end doesn't bind a full droop and also help to get the logest possible panhard(aprox45")
sweet, I see it now. Are you still going to use the double ended ram for the hydro assist.
Also how do you plan on making sure the steering quick enough for high speed stuff. I am running a PSC saginaw box, 1.75" Ram, and a PSC Chevy P-pump on the Jeep. It turn great but is not quick enough for sliding around corners on the dirt
it's probably going to be a little slow with the ram I have now, but eventually I will have a ram built maybe a 1 3/4 DE with a 1" or 1.25 rod. I really don't think the spool valve in the saginaw will ever be able to flow enough to make it steer quick.
that's f-in cool...
you need a drum of WD-40:flipoff2:
wd 40 sucks, are you just talking to clean the surface rust off?
it wont clean it off. no wonder you think it sucks, you dont know what it is for...to keep it from being there in the first place. i dont use it either but mine doesnt look that bad.
I know what it is not for. I just hate how folks think it's a miracle worker and spray it on everything.
WD stands for water displacement. it was conceived for corrosion prevention in the aerospace industry. it also tastes good on salads and contains zero trans fatty acids.
I really don't like the idea of oil anywhere on my tube or plate work, makes it to hard to weld other pieces on later as it gets everywhere. I also clean all my tubing and plate with thinner so my hands aren't black all the time. spraying wd 40 on everything just makes a mess and makes everything stick to it. scotch brite and pre-cleano= rust gone
