Anyone have any 29-31", 5 on 5.5" rollers around?
Does anybody have a coating or paint for exhaust parts to stop corrosion on non SS parts? Maybe even a little insulation? New up pipes on my truck to replace the leaky ones and I don't want them rusting out in a few years. Needs to be able to withstand 1500 degrees just to be safe, I doubt it would get that hot.
I bet they exceed 1500 degrees, at least momentarily
the hottest my old truck ever got was 1200 degrees. And i have a better turbo set up than i did then so egt's will definitely be lower. And i don't have a tuner.
What happened to your tuner!
Sold it
Get stainless steel? or aluminized?
Ss.
There's only 3 up pipe kits that fit with the stock turbo, none of them are ss.
No need for SS. Mine is 4" turbo back and was $180
Don't worry about it, but if you want try bake one of the ceramic spray paints on. On the last couple dirtbikes I've had I've used that VHT stuff and its surprised me how well it's held up.

Guy says they are 3 years old but I thought they went to KM2s a long time ago
Has anyone replaced a key cylinder in a 91 ford without having the key? If so how ?
Big hammer....
Flat head screwdriver and a hammer
Mexican in the parking lot of pick a part... Seriously, there is a Mexican lock smith in the parking lot. Additionally for tools he has a file and a set of channel locks.
i know in the gm columns you need to remove the steering wheel to get to the cylinder retaining mechanism not sure on the fords
I'm trying to mount a center console in my truck but I need some sort of nut that I can stick in the hole in the floor and have it expand as I tighten it. I can't get to the other side as it is inside a body cross member. I've already tried well nuts and they pull out before expanding and I don't want to spend $50 trying to make nutserts work. Any other ideas? From the factory it had riveted studs in the floor but whoever put my console in made them loose and they don't stay in anymore so i can't reuse those.
why would nutserts be $50. Pick up a few blind nuts from the hardware store and make yourself a crude tool too tighten them and hold them in place.
I don't have the tool and the cheapest package at grainger is $25. Lowes didn't have any. All they had was well nuts.
use a bigger rivet
Bigass self tapping screws.
We use self tapping screws for everything. If they made one big enough I would replace my head bolts with them. I agree.
Anybody ever put new clutches in a Ford limited slip? Did it work or did it still slip? I'm going to try new fluid with no friction modifier first but I'm thinking it needs new clutches.
if it isn't toast you will get chatter and cause other problems if you don't add the friction modifier. it is easy to rebuild a friction disk type ls. pull it apart and slip in new discs...... then make sure you add the friction modifier. no special tools needed
the carrier bearing shims on a sterling are external and a huge pain in the ass. Just make sure you mark which side the carrier shims go on before you take them out, when you pry the carrier out they explode all over the floor and roll away.
You don't have to take the carrier out of the diff. I know how to do it, just not sure if it's worth the trouble.
I have heard that you can add more clutches than stock into the pack to make it tighter for bigger tire problems
My death 250 was extremely random on the limited slip, some times it would chirp the tires on turn, you would think it was locked. sometimes it acted open.
The Aussie locker in the front dana30 in Jason's jeep is making a lot of noise. I took a look at it and it is engaging and disengaging much too easy. I want to replaced the springs in it. I think this will help it work properly and be less annoying. I have looked on the google but can't find anyone that sells just parts for them. Has anyone had to order new springs or just seen out there where parts can be ordered?
Good job tate.

Any other website? They want $21.22 shipping ground for a $20 part.
I found a couple other sites. I guess 9.99 shipping isn't terrible. I just hate spending a lot on shipping on a cheap part.
Is there a way to fix sagging axle shafts up front? I have a brand new unit bearing and a u joint that's a few months old and the shaft still sags.
are you sure the axle is not bent?
I doubt it's bent, I'm trying to get rid of a clunk sound up front when I hit a bump or pot hole or going too fast down a dirt road. Ball joints are tight, unit bearings are good, sway bar bushings look fine.

I'm thinking I need to put another u joint in it.
