No problem. Nothing is set in stone as of now.
I will be trying to be in CS Wednesday (16th) so that I/we can leave out at a decent time Thursday morning. That is about the only thing I want to work around.
You find you a trailer?

You find you a trailer?
hehehehe, we will know tomorrow afternoon, can the dually tow 4 rigs?
It'll tow 10 if you have a trailer big enough. ;)
(stopping on the other hand... )
new plan, ed is going to haul my new trailer and i will haul creightons trailer up and ed's trailer back, ed you have a pm
whoop for road trip to pick up 48" low boy
48", my four wheeler wont fit on that...
:flipoff2:
I just read the pm and nearly fell out of my chair laughing so hard. This will definitely be a road trip for the books! :D
o and ed it has a special deck like yours for your 4 wheeler on the neck, that leaves 48 feet to strap down a few hot wheels and maybe a big wheel
maybe I bring my arctic cat up with us to fool around on.
I mean I will only be 6-8k over weight, whats another 4-500. :D
we went and priced some tires today. how does 700 for 6 new 14 ply tires sound, or at least buy 4 good trailer tires and then use some good truck tires for the middle tire on each side so he doesn't have to buy all 6 now and can get away with 4 for a little while
1) How did you end up with a 48' trailer?
2) How much are you planning on putting on it?
3) What the hell are you going to pullit with?
1 craigslist plus trip to bank
2 4 of the smaller rigs or 3 bigger, eventually living quarters and 2 rigs
3 ed
im kinda hijacking brians glory, its his monstrosity
SO he bought a trailer that he can't even tow? Or is a bigger truck in the future?
3 7000lb axles?
Here are crappy cell phone pics... you really need to see this thing to appreciate it's length
he can tow it just not fully loaded, we know people with duallys, and there is always ed. i may get myself a bigger truck in the future
8k lb axles
there is an 8 ft dovetail on the end, its not bowed
i can tow it with two rigs now, but since ed can haul more weight than i can i makes sense for him to haul it with three rigs so that diesel is cheaper, and yes it is a monstrosity, but for the price it was a steal even though it needs new tires
How much does a 48' trailer run?
new over 8k easily
and yours?
much cheaper
i dont need to haul three rigs, but it was a good price and if i ge ambitious i can cut 16 feet or so off and make it in to two trailers and then have one trailer the lenght i was originally looking for and another to sell to recoup some money
Screw the 14 plies, get regular cheap bias ones, or truck tires. They last longer.
On a trailer that obscenely huge I would stick with the heaviest TRAILER tires you can find.
thats what i figured, i will be spending almost a quarter of what i have in the trailer on tires
If I were you brian I would trade your truck for a dually right away.
sweet deal btw
If you plan on putting 3 rigs with one or two being fullsizes, or 4 jeep sized vehicles do NOT skimp on the tires. With them being single wheels, if one blows with that kind of weight on it you have just taken out your rim too (I know trailer rims aren't real expensive, but still).
From the rig sleds thread:
I wholly believe in these tires.
can't be too bad but that transgo will come in handy and you may want the EGT gauge
or some snow performance water/methanol injection and the performance tune
fags...
