UPS guy just brought me some bling... these things are dead sexy
Dad has the same one in our sandrail. Have fun bleeding the darn things!
well the ups guy was back again and now i have a pair of dana 60 CTMs and poly performance drive gear. I also have a dana60 detroit but they sent me the 4.56 and up one instead of the 4.10 and down. i am now faced with the decision of either sending it back and getting the right one or ordering 5.13s and a new detroit for the 10.25... i think fate is telling me to do the latter but my bank account is saying send it back... one thing that would make my decision easier is to know if anyone needs a 10.25 detroit 4.10 and down... John dont you still need one?... no pics of the new goodies because my memory card on my camera took a dump
and to add one more thing.... CTMs are insane... they are WAY bigger than i expected and can see why they have the warrenty
That cutting brake is badass, how much did it cost?
about 120
120? I can get them through one of our sandrail companies for 95ish.
that was shipped
ok turns out 10.25 dont have a carrier split... i can use my detroit with 5.13s... so looks like i am ordering gears now
sounds like fun
can those cutting brakes be used as a temporary emergency brake? Seems like they could if they didn't bleed off to fast.
you have to keep your hands on them but i would assume they would work as one in a slam on the brakes type of situation
ok ordered some yukon 5.13 gears for both axles and install kits... they should be here thursday or friday
got a new card for the camera and took some pics of my new goodies
new alternator, ps pump, floor shifter, and tranny crossmember bushings
did you win the lottery?
nope... just gotta get this sum***** done before tcc
gears showed up today... headed out to the shop to get some stuff done... come on by if you wanna
I be there in moments. call you first.
took gears out to the shop... pulled dana60 carrier out with comealong rigup and then pulled out 10.25. bolted up the 140 amp alternator also
there were a crapload of shimms in the 10.25
headed out to the shop in just a bit if anyone wants to come on by
didnt get crap dont today... a buddy of mine from hs called me and we sat and bsed or a long time... i drank 5 out of 6 of a 6pack of talls and am killing the 6ht right now... i showed him how to weld... that was fun atleast

3pm Saturday, fools
ya gonna be working on it 3pm-late saturday and sunday
I skipped my last class today and went out to the shop. I put the two t-cases together. I had to do a little grinder work to get it on but it worked great. Then I moved on to installing the new tranny cross-member bushings. All I need to get them done is some 5.5" 7/16 bolts. The 6" ones I have dont have enough thread on them. These bushings lower the tranny a little bit which is good cause i moved it up too much when i built the cross-member. I am gonna go get some bolts tomorrow from ace and then I will just need a hand or two to lift the dual cases up.
I picked up the bolts i need today so tomorrow i should be able to make some good progress...
headed out to the shop... ill be there around 3
well that 203-205 combo is one heavy mutha! Looks impressive bolted up though! Pix?
i get to it today after class
here are pics of putting the cases together and installing them
more... you can see where we raised the floor as much as 6" or so
