just checked the axle should be just a little wider than stock and the tires didn't rub the frame to much
you were only running 35's...
thats all it is going to run right now
oh yeah creighton when the bearings get there you find that i had all the setup bearings not just the ones for the carrier. Plus i threw in all of the leftover shims that i had in case you need some more
sweet, thanks
just orderd 70 lbs of brackets for the front axle
SO much for light weight
holy fork batman!!! are they made out of lead?
well there is a diff cover in that order too. I think I have already made the ups/ fedex men mad this week
Got rear axle done minus brakes, here it is on its own weight (minus the transmission) for the first time in almost 6 months
got gas tanked hooked up in back and started it up, converted TJ tailgate to fold down CJ style but no pictures yet
also picked up two 35x12.5R15 BFG allterains for $30 apiece

did i miss something? for somereason i thought u were going air shocks and a 4-link
I am going to use one as a spare, but I thought of you when I saw them. They only have about 5/16 of tread on them, I will sell you the other one
Sweet! I need another one. I've got a tire that randomly developed a hole. I think it might have got pinched on a rock and finally ruptured sitting in the driveway.
got shocks installed

mmm mmm mmmm...look at all that shawk...
yeah I just need to nut up and order me some 12s
Fvck, nobody has chromo 35 spline stubs
SELL A KIDNEY AND CALL BOBBY ALREADY!!! :flipoff3:
no, I would be divorced if I ordered some shafts from Bobby,
I ordered a set of yukons and some spicer stubs from Branik Motorsports, they had the best price
i will probably just use some off the shelf u-joint untill i can get the yukon stubs and some CTM's
I don't think you have to worry about breaking the u-joints much on a d60. Davido runs regular ones. Scott didn't approve of my 30 year old stock ones, they still haven't broken. If anybody's throwing out stock 30 spline stubs feel free to send them my way. I like to break things at least 3-4 times before upgrading.
I broke a "normal" U-joint in Pigpen when I still had a 6.2 and I'm running 30 spline outters. Just sayin...it can happen.
I've broken 2 35 spline stubs and a ring & pinion in my 60 and have never broken a u-joint.
my u-joints are what cut loose at TCC (and then was able to 'persueade' the lobes on the 35 spl stubs back into shape and get some more wheelin in ;) )
I would just say get what ever hoerielys has on the shelf and get a spare while you are there, If I didn't know how you wheel that is... :flipoff2:
Sounds like you have a good plan worked out on the shafts and u-joints that fits in your budget for now.
i think it will be fine,
I would have run stock shafts, but once I ship it to duchman, have it shortened, and have it shipped back it is almost the same price as a yukon shaft.
run the oem spicer joints. no zerks in most cases.
thats what I am planning on.
its gonna be long WB is 106"-107"
So if you found a genie in a bottle and he said you could have new tires and rims, just exactly what tire make, size and rim combo would you go with.
(i.e. my fat ass needs some inspiration here you homo) :flipoff2:
They would probably be some 17" beadlocks and 40" Maxxis creepy crawlers or 42" pitbull rockers
Ok, I think I could whore myself out for that...
