I will see. I was kinda plannin on doing it all at once, but could do one then the other easily enough. They arch enough that they also work well to stop spring wrap.
This weekend I talked to Seth. He pretty much agreed that if he did not get the big white truck running by the 14th to drive it to Spring Creek, he would no longer be considered a man. All of you feel free to jump in here and berate, I mean motivate him. He told me this is what is left to do:
1) Set the gears in the front axle - he "claimed" he did not know how to do this. Someone go act like they know how to do it and put those in, I mean it's a front axle, it doesn't have to be perfect :flipoff2:
2) Insert axle shafts - I don't know why I am listing this, this is like listing "wake up" on a to-do list
3) Find some Dana 44 hubs. Someone in CS has to have some used 44 hubs Seth can have on the cheap, if not Frick has some I know.
And bam after like 13 years, Seth could wheel something again. Then he could drive it down to Spring Creek to go wheeling. While at Spring Creek I could see him and he could finally give me my ****ing money!
I am sure Clarke could assist in setting up gears for a few dollars/beers.
Oh man. Let's see what else...
Install electric fan.
get tires mounted etc.
Get registered inspected and insured if i am going to drive it.
Tempting...
I've got some external hubs if that's what you're looking for. I'm not sure what kind of axle that has.
I think there may be some dana 44/ 10 bolt hubs laying around in ed's crap
talk to my brother he might have something laying around, or atleast something to get you going for the weekend till you can find something more permanent
i think i have a set of drive slugs, i know blankenship has a set from the axle i just got him. should i assume it is the internal design since the external bolt on is rarer. i'm prety sure i have 2 spares of diff brands that could be used for the weekend just to get you going.
def internal hubs
So what have you done Seth. Come on your man hood is on the line!
Damn it Karl. I have looked at it twice in the last couple days.
man hood...gross.
needs something for a front bumper. I like the john brown type tube stuff, but not the price.
Weld a piece of angle, call it a day.
I once had a bad dude looking temporary front bumper on a F350. Piece of 8" purlin just wider than the frame rails.
Update?
:)
