I think they get 14.5 on the highway. Keep in mind these are 9-10K lb trucks. This is in line with the 7.3s, the 6.0s got a little better mileage. They've only had them a couple months. My uncles have 4-5 of them and I think they've been reliable. My safety man at work has a single wheel F-350 4x4 and it gets 17-18 mpg, it's computer died a couple weeks after he got it.
mom just picked up an 08 4door longbed. said the display reads an average of 14 on it. I told her to run a couple of tanks through it and write it down and see what it says then.
Well it looks like the only casualties are brake caliper slider bolts and a little aluminum turned off the inside of my rim (and the unit bearing, of course). In the backyard and torn back down. Again.
suck macaque
I am glad to see you two getting along so well now.
lets talk about ****ty chain driven t-cases...
from what i can tell, 27 spline np231's only came in s10s. I see people on pirate(and other sites:flipoff2:) swapping internals from a np241 into a np231. could one take a GM np241 and install the input/planetary into a jeep/dodge np231 housing to achieve a 27 spline np231 with a 6 bolt face?
objective is to make a 27 spline crawl box to put between a th350/700r4 and d300.
Jones was trying to sell one.
one of doug's threads has some talk about swapping planetaries between 231s and 241s
