if you guys are bringing bikes google "monarch crest trail," that area has some of the best MTBing in the country. The Arkansas near Salida is pretty premier kayaking too, if anybody's into that (I'm not, these days)
Seriously, anyone else that wants to get on the camping equipment/email list post up your address.

could i make a 4:40 flight on sunday?
Edit - round trip would be less than 200, which is making this more and more attractive.
i think we can shoot out there as long as it is as remote as it looks

I've got another friend coming. I haven't seen him since elementary school, but in the last year I've gotten back in touch with him. He lives and Denver and has an XJ...
Is it trail worthy or 'just an xj'.
Was he the one you first had those 'strange feelings' for? :blackflipoff2:
I'm fairly sure those U's on the map jerry posted are tunnels. Found some pics since I should be studying...

did you guys ever figure out the ohv registration stuff?
this website says you have to have it
http://staythetrail.org/maps/displaytrail.php?trail=11
yeah, we can just get them when we get up there. Creighton has the name of the store in the thread somewhere.
"All off-highway vehicles operated in Colorado must be registered with Colorado State Parks including those of non-residents. For more information, visit the State Parks OHV Registration Page. Street legal vehicles with valid license plates do not need to be registered."
so does this mean your vehicle needs to be street legal and registered or not??
i need to figure this all out pretty quick
i will need to get it "inspected" registered, get plates and insured
I dont think so since it applies to 4-wheelers and dirt bikes, you cant really get those inspected. I think its more of a pay to play type deal.
This says place next to license plate "if equipped" so i would assume plates arent required, and you cant get it inspected without plates i would guess.
If it's any consolation, I am just going to find what ever license plate I can and slap it on mine. I am not going to hassle with plates and insurance for this trip. There are too many buggys running around up there I would think to worry bout this much.
