how to float the river in style
-
Very intesting, but sweet. If the damn easy button doesnt work for the locker, use it for the on off switch
-
*** well just use the little switch
-
Just remember which ice chest your filling up with ice :D
-

.... and ya no ice
-
What happens if it sinks?
-
-
The tube would have to pop then I'd imagine they have some way of latching the lid shut and it'll float.
-
si, its not done yet
latch, rubber stripping and silicone
-

my thoughts exactly, mondo wallet damage
-
we've got one floating aroung my gf's place from last year. used one of the larger coolers with custom tube and head unit from wally world.
total expense came out around $60
-
yet the charlie truck's still in primer :flipoff2:
-
A regular cooler, some ductape, and a ghetto blaster would have sufficed just fine. :flipoff2:
-
...or a JBrune Shower Stall AM/FM Radio special. Turns out, it's only water RESISTANT. It couldn't resist the powers of the Guadaloop.
-
nice!!...is the ipod dealeo waterproof? maybe you could build a wireless sub in another ice chest! :flipoff2:

we sealed that little lid but were just gonna put the ipod in a small ziploc and duck tape it closed.
we have it playing in the back yard right now :flipoff2: its not just for the river. the thing actually thumps pretty good because of the air space. :gigem:

I think that walmart has some pretty nice cheap and small battery chargers, maybe get one of those to dedicate just to the radio
-
already got it
but....
we ran the radio for 8 hours straight and it only dropped from 14V to 12.8V
-
-
upgrade to marine speakers possibly?
-
it says they are water resistant... and usually cheap speakers like that actually seal pretty well... i had a set in my jeep for like 5 years and got rained on weakly in the summers when the top was off and they still worked till the day i pulled the radio out.
and if the water does **** them up they only cost like $9.95 each
