I've got 2 trucks I need to scrap. Lady at the salvage place says they must have titles to scrap them. How do I get around this? Trucks are 76 F250 2wd complete minus rear axle and 77 K20 lots of rust with no drivetrain.

You have to cut the cabs into either four or six pieces. It technically needs to be unrecognizeable as a vehicle. The beds shouldn't be an issue, just throw all the crap you cut up in the bed on a trailer and take it in.
When I cleaned out the yard at my shop I just cut the cabs into pieces small enough to handle by hand and then threw them in the beds on the trailer. Except the one I had a title for, it stayed whole
you need to cut them into pieces, also if you cut them up they will give you more money for it, if you leave them whole they take off a percentage b/c of all the plastic/cloth/foam, and other crap that a vehicle has in it
make sure you cut up the gas tank
Kopecki how's the body on the 76 ford? If in decent shape I could use the front fenders and possibly the doors.
How is the cab itself? I might want that.
what motor?
I do what I want, f.o
I've really never looked at the cab/doors much, don't remember it being a rusted out dent though, and it was probably 10 years old when it was junked. I'll have to take a look at it next time I'm around. Engine I think is a 360.
I hauled out a load of ugly rusty scrap tin and stuff today. 2880lbs = $288.
usually just have to have holes in gas tanks and make shure no fluids in anything.... pull radiator and scrap separate. i figure you already knew that. you will get alot more for it as brass.
like they said. as long as it isn't recognizable as a vehicle, no fluids, no tires.
can you check out the cab for me.
Oh and for you haters

and where are you going to keep that? You really dont think a whole lot do you?
Old bronco body goes to the scrap yard, truck body goes on the bronco. Me and Travis discussed this, doesn't seem too hard. In the words of Jeremy Clarkson, How hard can it be?
I will
You totally have the abilities as well. If you were one of my students, I'de make you sit in the shop and dry all the welding rods with that hot air you keep breathing out.
what do you gain by putting a truck body on a bronco frame?
why not just buy a whole truck, boths of cook were pretty cheap
The bronco frame will be too short to use the bed from the truck...... unless he is just trying to copy cook....
I took a took a truck last week. All I did was cut the roof off, and pulled the fenders and doors. It still had the axle/frame/trans in it,and the motor went on top.... they never said a word to me about it.
did you get rid of the tan ford?
Yup
why didn't you keep the axle?
I looked at the truck. No good body parts.
I didn't feel like messing with it.... I went to the guys house and loaded it on the trailer with the tractor.... then headed straight to scrap
i was talking about tino's brothers truck.
Thats the one im talking about
the guy that bought the truck for the motor, then told me i could have it back along with his old motor....
gotcha, i was missing that bit of information. well at least yall ended up doing ok on that thing after selling the motor and scraping it
