Unbelievably clean 7.3 six speed XLT...
<cough> 10 year old truck <cough>
I like it. I want another 7.3, just one that doesn't have a million miles like all the ones I've owned.
That looks like a nice truck.
more pics dude
I didn't have a chance to take pictures before we left, but here are some more details:
2001 f250 7.3 psd with 6-speed
Ext cab short bed
189k two owner truck from California, first owner had it to 160k and put new injectors and valve cover gaskets at 150k. Second owner put a banks air intake on it.
Xlt
Power everything
3.73 gears
Bucket seats
Bilstien dual shocks up front
Gooseneck hitch
Trailer brakes
Airbags
But it also had a plastic Bedliner installed without cutting the hole out for the gooseneck. I'm not sure if this truck has ever pulled a trailer.
265/75r16 tires
There are small dents in both bumpers and on a cab corner but overall an extremely clean truck.
Plans:
Lose the factory exhaust for a 4" system with muffler
Chip
Window tint
285/75r16 nitto trail grapplers
Double din Back up camera/nav android touch screen (new trucks have spoiled me)
New 2001 grille with 2002-2004 headlights
DD level ride for the next 1-2 years.

Rubs a little on the front bumper. Also got the exhaust and gauges in. Hopefully can install this weekend.
Gauges? For real?
Exhaust temp and boost gauge will make this truck douche.... Especially since I'm not putting them on the pillar
The stock turbo will never make too much boost, and EGTs. Trans temp is the only one I would worry about monitoring and for 20 bucks you can look at that and boost on an android phone or tablet. My thoughts are the gauge money is best spent elsewhere, unless you just like gauges.
I'm confused. Is/wasn't Tommy's 450,000 mile truck called Legendary as well? I know y'all have a circle jerk/ village bicycle thing going with old ****ty fords but it's hard to keep up with. Is this a daily driver?
I like to copy people's names... So far I have been driving this every day.
It's not legendary unless it has over 400,000 miles. This is blasphemy

Thinking about reverse leveling the truck if I can find a decent longer shackle. If I did this I believe I would have to take off the over load leaf. I would keep the airbags for towing. It would help my in parking garages as my truck is very close to the 7' mark and loading up the dirt bikes. Thoughts?
Your rear bumper has speed holes.
6" deaver lift springs, longer shackles and spring under.
I dig the bumpers. Reverse level is for 2wd.
That truck needs 05 headlights and grill.
Updated the lights
installed the 4" exhaust (with muffler)
removed steps, tinted the windows, installed new glow plugs and have been driving it every day for the last month.
I got 14.5 mpg going to bracketville and back, which I think is about the same I would get in the 4 door dually I use to have. The low gearing kills it.

Pretty Douchey, I like it.
That's pretty sad mileage. My 6.4 gets 16.
The low gearing kills it? As in numerically lower or granny first low?
I'm pretty sure my '99 had 3.73 and I got 15 or 16. 14.5 seems quite crappy, maybe the ultra low sulfur hoses it???
Could be a lot of things but I don't think it's gearing. I got 15 or 16 on the highway with 37s and 3.73s.
Kind of. There's too many variables to say bigger tires give you better mileage. I bet most people with 37s did not get the kind of mileage I got. If you really want to look into your mileage, I'd start with looking at high pressure oil levels and injector health. You can try fuel and oil additives to see if they help.
